හදිසි මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂාවක්.. වාහන රැසක් ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කෙරේ..

තලවකැලේ ප්‍රදේශය හරහා ධාවනය වූ වාහන 28ක් තාවකාලිකව ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කිරිමට පියවර ගත් බව නුවරඑලිය දිස්ත්‍රික් ප්‍රධාන මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂක ජාලිය බණ්ඩාර මහතා පැවසිය.

නුවරඑලිය පොලිස් කොට්ඨාශ රථවාහන අංශයේ නිළධාරින් සහ තම කාර්යාලයේ මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂක ඉන්දික කරුණාරත්න මහතා සමග එක්ව තලවකැලේ ප්‍රදේශය හරහා ධාවනය වන බස් රථ, මෝටර් රථ, යතුරුපැදි, වෑන් සහ ලොරි රථ ධාවනයට සුදුසු තත්වයේ තිබේද යන්න පිලිබදව සිදු කල හදිසි පරික්ෂාවකදී වාහන 40ක් පරික්ෂා කල බවත්, ඉන් විවිධ අඩුපාඩුකම් සහිතව ධාවනයට නුසුදුසු තත්වයේ ධාවනය කල වාහන 28ක් තාවකාලිකව ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කර එම වාහන වල ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය තමන් භාරයට ගත් බවයි මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂකවරයා කියා සිටියේ.

සිදු වන රිය අනතුරු අවම කිරිමේ අරමුණින් සිදු කල මෙම පරික්ෂාවේදි පෞද්ගලික බස් රථ 4ක් ත්‍රීරෝද රථ 15ක් ඇතුලු වාහන 28ක් ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කල බවත්, එම වාහනවල නිරික්ෂනයට ලක් වූ විවිධ අඩුපාඩුකම් සපුරා යලිත් පරික්ෂාවකට ඉදිරිපත් කරන තෙක් එම වාහන ධාවනය තාවකාලිකව නතර කල බවයි මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂකවරයා කියා සිටියේ.

මෙවැනි ආකාරයට දිස්ත්‍රික්කය පුරා වාහන පරික්ෂාව සිදු කරන බවද මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂකවරයා වැඩි දුරටත් පැවසීය.

Vehicle Inspections Lead to Temporary Withdrawals in Talawakelle Area

The Talawakelle region has witnessed an extensive check on vehicles as part of an operation aimed at enhancing road safety. District Motor Vehicle Inspector Janaka Bandara announced that measures have been taken to remove vehicles from operation temporarily.

Officials from the Nuwara Eliya Police Department's transport division, along with Motor Vehicle Inspector Indika Karunaratne, conducted a surprise inspection of buses, cars, motorcycles, vans, and lorries in the area. A total of 40 vehicles were examined, and among them, 28 were deemed unfit for operation due to various deficiencies.

These vehicles were promptly removed from service, and their revenue licenses were seized in accordance with safety regulations, as disclosed by the motor vehicle inspector.

This initiative, aimed at reducing road accidents, highlighted serious flaws in private buses and three-wheelers. In total, 28 vehicles, including four private buses and 15 three-wheelers, were flagged for faults and taken off the roads until they pass another inspection to rectify their issues, Karunaratne explained.

Bandara further emphasized that such inspections will continue throughout the district to ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards.
