මීගහවත්ත - නව මහනුවර මාර්ගයේ දෙල්ගොඩ ප්රදේශයේදී සිදුවූ රිය අනතුරකින් කුඩා දැරියක ඇතුළු පුද්ගලයින් තිදෙනෙකු ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව තිබේ.
පොලිසිය සඳහන් කළේ බියගම දෙස සිට දෙල්ගොඩ දෙසට ධාවනය වූ ත්රීරෝද රථයක් මාර්ගයේ දකුණු පසට හැරවීමට උත්සාහ කිරීමේදී, ප්රතිවිරුද්ධ දෙසින් පැමිණි මෝටර් රථයක ගැටීමෙන් මෙම අනතුර සිදුව ඇති බවයි.
අනතුරින් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව ඇත්තේ ත්රීරෝද රථයේ රියදුරු ලෙස කටයුතු කළ 69 හැවිරිදි පුද්ගලයෙකු, 39 හැවිරිදි කාන්තාවක් සහ 07 හැවිරිදි කුඩා දැරියකි.
ඔවුන් බරපතල තුවාල ලබා රෝහල්ගත කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව මියගොස් ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.
මෙම ගැටීමෙන් මෝටර් රථයේ ගමන් කළ තවත් කුඩා දැරියක තුවාල ලබා ඇති අතර, ඇය වැඩිදුර ප්රතිකාර සඳහා රාගම ශික්ෂණ රෝහලට ඇතුළත් කර තිබේ.

Tragic Accident Claims Three Lives on Nnew Mahanuwara Road
A devastating road accident in the Delgoda area of the Nnew Mahanuwara route has resulted in the loss of three lives, including a young girl.
According to police reports, the incident occurred when a three-wheeler, traveling from the direction of Biyagama toward Delgoda, attempted to turn onto the southern side of the road. It collided with a motor vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.
The victims include a 69-year-old man who was driving the three-wheeler, a 39-year-old woman, and a 7-year-old girl, all of whom succumbed to their injuries after being hospitalized.
In addition to the fatalities, another young girl who was in the car also sustained injuries and has been admitted to Ragama Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The Mihigahawatta police are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
