හිටපු ඇමති රාජිතගේ සහෝදරයා අත්අඩංගුවට..

ලංකා ධීවර සංස්ථාවේ හිටපු සභාපති මහිල් සේනාරත්න මහතා අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගනු ලැබීය.

හිටපු අමාත්‍ය රාජිත සේනාරත්න මහතාගේ සොහොයුරෙකු වන ඒ මහතා, 2010 සිට 2012 දක්වා කාලය තුළ ධීවර සංස්ථාවේ සභාපතිවරයා ලෙස කටයුතු කර තිබේ.

දිවයින පුරා මත්ස්‍ය අලෙවි මධ්‍යස්ථාන පිහිටුවීම සහ නඩත්තු කිරීම සඳහා නිසි ප්‍රසම්පාදන ක්‍රියාවලීන් අනුගමනය නොකර  ධීවර සංස්ථාවට මූල්‍යමය පාඩු සිදුකරමින්  දූෂණ ක්‍රියාවල නිරත වූ බවට එල්ල වී ඇති චෝදනා සම්බන්ධයෙන් සිදුකළ විමර්ශනයකට අනුව මෙම අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සිදුකර ඇත.

අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් හිටපු සභාපතිවරයා අධිකරණය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිත අතර, සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන පවත්වයි.

Former Chair of Sri Lanka Fisheries Corporation Arrested Over Corruption Charges

Mahil Senarathne, the former chairman of the Sri Lanka Fisheries Corporation, has been arrested by the commission investigating allegations of bribery and corruption.

Senarathne, who is the brother of former minister Rajitha Senarathne, served as the head of the fisheries organization from 2010 to 2012.

He is accused of engaging in corrupt practices that led to financial losses for the corporation by failing to adhere to proper procurement procedures in the establishment and maintenance of fish distribution centers across the island. This arrest follows an investigation into these serious allegations.

The former chair is expected to be presented in court shortly, while the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption continues its inquiries into the matter.
