මගීන් පටවගෙන රේස් ගිය බස් ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කෙරේ..

 මහනුවර සිට හැටන් දක්වා අධික වේගයෙන් ධාවනය කල අනතුරට පත් වු පෞද්ගිලක බස් රථ දෙක තාවකාලිකව ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කිරිමට නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් ප්‍රධාන මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂක ජාලිය බණ්ඩාර මහතා පියවර ගෙන ඇත.

එම බස් රථ දෙක ඉකුත් දින මහනුවර සිට හැටන් දක්වා ධාවනය කරමින් සිටියදි හැටන් කොළඹ ප්‍රධාන මාර්ගයේ පේහගහමුල ප්‍රදේශයේදි පසුපසින් එම දිසාවටම ධාවනය වූ පෞද්ගිලක බස් රථය අපරික්ෂාකාරිව ඉදිරියෙන් ධාවනය වූ බස් රථය ඉස්සර කර යැමට උත්සහ කිරිමේදි බස් රථ දෙක ගැටී අනතුරක් සිදු කිරිම සම්බන්ධයෙන් බස් රථ දෙකම පොලිස් භාරයට ගෙන එම බස් රථ දෙක නුවරඑලිය දිස්ත්‍රික් මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂකවරයාගේ පරික්ෂාවට යොමු කිරිමට ගිනිගත්හේන පොලිසියේ නිළධාරින් පියවර ගෙන තිබුණි.

එම බස් රථ දෙක පරික්ෂා කල මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂකවරයා එම බස් රථ දෙකේ තිබූ අඩුපාඩුකම් සම්පූර්ණ කර බස් රථයේ මුල් ආකෘතිය වෙනස් කරමින් බස් රථයේ සවි කර ඇති අමතර උපාංග ගලවා ඉවත් කර යලිත් තමන්ගේ අධීක්ෂණයට බස් රථ දෙක යොමු කරන තෙක් එම බස් රථ දෙක ධාවනයෙන් තාවකාලිකව ඉවත් කිරිමට මෝටර් රථ පරික්ෂකවරයා පියවර ගෙන ඇත.

අපරික්ෂාකාරිව නොසැලකිලිමත් ලෙස රිය ධාවනය කිරිම සම්බන්ධයෙන් එම බස් දෙකේ රියදුරන්ට එරෙහිව හැටන් මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය හමුවේ නෛතික පියවර ගැනීමට කටයුතු කර ඇත.

Two Buses Temporarily Removed from Service Following Speeding Incident

A significant decision has been made by Jaliya Bandara, the Chief Motor Vehicle Inspector of the Nuwara Eliya District, to temporarily withdraw two buses from operation after a serious accident involving high-speed driving between Mahanuwara and Hatton.

The two buses collided in the Heeressagala area along the Hatton-Colombo main road as one bus was recklessly overtaking the other while traveling in the same direction. The incident, which resulted in both vehicles being seized by the police, has drawn attention to the need for enhanced safety measures in the public transportation sector.

The Inspector has also initiated an inspection of the two buses, focusing on identifying and rectifying any deficiencies. Modifications were made to restore the buses to their original specifications, including the removal of non-essential equipment, prior to their return to operational status.

In response to the reckless driving, legal action will be pursued against the drivers of the implicated buses in the Hatton Magistrate's Court, with a focus on enforcing ethical standards within public transport services.
