12 වෙනිදාට පෙර නාමල් ඇතුලට..?

 එළඹෙන 12 වැනිදා අනුරාධපුරයේ පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත ජන රැළියට බියෙන්, ඊට පෙර තමන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට රජය උත්සාහ කරමින් සිටින බව පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ මූලස්ථානයේ පැවති මාධ්‍ය හමුවකදී ඔහු මේ බව ප්‍රකාශ කලේය.

රජය මේ වන විට දැවැන්ත මර්දනයක් දියත් කර ඇති බවත්, 12 වැනිදා අනුරාධපුරයට පැමිණෙන ජන ගඟ වැළැක්වීම සඳහා තමන්ව සිරගත කිරීමට පවා රජය පසුබට නොවන බවත් ඔහු පැවසීය.

ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණේ දේශපාලන ශෛලිය විවේචනය කළ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා, තමන් කිසිවිටෙකත් මිනීමැරුම් හෝ ගිනි තැබීම් හරහා බලය ලබා ගැනීමට උත්සාහ නොකරන බව අවධාරණය කළේය. එසේම, රාජපක්ෂවරුන්ගේ සාම්ප්‍රදායික ඇඳුම වන 'සාටකය' සම්බන්ධයෙන් එල්ල වන විවේචනවලට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් ඔහු කියා සිටියේ, මැතිවරණ ජයග්‍රහණයෙන් පසු ඇඳුම් මාරු කරන දේශපාලනඥයන් මෙන් නොව, තමන් කිසිවිටෙකත් තම අනන්‍යතාවය හෝ සාම්ප්‍රදායික ඇඳුම වෙනස් නොකරන බවයි.

"සමහරු දිනන කොට එක ඇඳුමක් අඳිනවා, පැරදෙන කොට තව ඇඳුමක් අඳිනවා. ජනතා විරෝධයක් එනකොට තව විදියකට හැසිරෙනවා. නමුත් අපි අවංකව අපේ අනන්‍යතාවය රැකගෙන දේශපාලනය කරනවා. ඒ නිසා අපේ ඇඳුම ගලවන්න ලේසි වෙන්නේ නැහැ," යනුවෙන් මන්ත්‍රීවරයා ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සඳහන් කළේ 22 වැනි ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය රජයේ පෞද්ගලික අවශ්‍යතාවක් මත සිදුකරන්නක් බවයි. මේ හේතුවෙන් අධිකරණ අමාත්‍යවරයා පවා දැඩි මානසික පීඩනයකට ලක්ව ඇති බවත්, මෑතකදී ඔහු මාධ්‍ය හමුවේ පෙනී නොසිටින්නේ ඒ නිසා විය හැකි බවත් නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

Opposition MP Namal Rajapakse Claims Government Intends to Arrest Him Before Mass Rally

Amid rising tensions in Sri Lanka, Namal Rajapakse, an opposition Member of Parliament, expressed concerns over the government's alleged intentions to detain him ahead of a crucial rally scheduled for the 12th in Anuradhapura. Addressing media representatives at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna headquarters, Rajapakse revealed his apprehensions about the increasing crackdown by the government.

According to him, the authorities are not shying away from resorting to extreme measures to prevent the expected influx of supporters in Anuradhapura. He characterized the current situation as a significant suppression of dissent, emphasizing that the government is fully prepared to arrest him in a bid to hinder public participation.

In his remarks, Rajapakse disavowed any notions of acquiring power through violence or arson, instead reaffirming his commitment to a democratic process. He further defended his traditional attire, the 'saatakaya,' in the face of criticism, stating that unlike some politicians who change their wardrobe for political gain, he would never forsake his identity or heritage.

“Some may wear one outfit when they win and another when they lose, adapting their appearance based on public sentiment. However, we firmly uphold our identity in politics. Thus, it won’t be easy to change our attire,” he declared.

Furthermore, Rajapakse elaborated on the imminent 22nd amendment to the constitution, suggesting that it is driven by the government’s personal agenda. He indicated that even the Minister of Justice is under significant mental pressure due to these developments, which might explain his recent absence from public appearances.
