රජය විසින් ක්‍රියාවට නංවන පුළුල් ඩිජිටල්කරණ වැඩපිළිවෙළ යටතේ, ඉදිරි වසර තුන තුළ දිවයින පුරා පූර්ණ අධිවේගී 4G ආවරණයක් ලබා දීම සඳහා අලුතින් සන්නිවේදන කුලුනු 1000ක් ස්ථාපිත කිරීමට පියවර ගන්නා බව ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

අකුරැස්ස පැවති ජන රැලිය අමතමින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

රාජ්‍ය ආයතන සමඟ ජනතාවට සිදු කර ගැනීමට ඇති බොහෝ කටයුතු නිවසේ සිටම පහසුවෙන් ඉටු කරගත හැකි අයුරින් ඩිජිටල් පද්ධතිය ශක්තිමත් කිරීම රජයේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණක් බව පැවසූ ජනාධිපතිවරයා, එම පහසුකම් නිසි පරිදි භුක්ති විඳීමට නම් රට පුරා ශක්තිමත් අන්තර්ජාල සංඥා පද්ධතියක් පැවතිය යුතු බව පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

සංඥා ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා ජනතාවට වහලවල් හෝ කඳු මුදුන් මතට නැගීමට සිදුවන අපහසුතාව වහා අවසන් කළ යුතු බව අවධාරණය කළ ඒ මහතා, ඒ අනුව ලබන වසරේදී ඉදිකෙරෙන කුලුනු 250 ද ඇතුළුව ඉදිරි තෙවසර තුළ නව කුලුනු 1000 ක වැඩ අවසන් කර මුළු දිවයිනම ආවරණය කරන බව කියා සිටියේය.

"ආණ්ඩුවත් එක්ක කරන්න තියෙන ගොඩක් වැඩ ගෙදර ඉඳන් කරන්න පුළුවන් විදිහට ඩිජිටල් පද්ධතියත් සවිමත් කරනවා. එතකොට සිග්නල් තියෙන්න ඕන. වහල උඩට නගින්න. කන්දට නගින්න. ෆෝන් එක ඔබ ඔබ වටේ දුවන්න වැඩක් නෑනේ. 

ලංකාවේ පළවෙනි වතාවට වැඩිම වේගවත් ඉන්ටර්නෙට් ජාලය 4G තාක්ෂණයෙන් ඉදිරි වසර තුන තුළ ලංකාව පුරාම ආවරණය දෙන්න කුලුනු දාහක් ගහනවා. ලබන අවුරුද්දේ අපි කුලුනු 250ක් ගහනවා. අවුරුදු තුනක් ඇතුළත කුලුනු දාහක් ගහලා මුළු රටම ආවරණය කරනවා."

එක් පසෙකින් රට තුළ පුළුල් දේශපාලන පරිවර්තනයක් සිදු කරන අතරතුර, අනෙක් පසින් සාමාන්‍ය ජනතාවගේ දෛනික ජීවිතයේ පවතින මෙවැනි ප්‍රායෝගික ගැටලුවලට ස්ථිරසාර විසඳුම් ලබා දීමට රජය කැපවී ක්‍රියා කරන බවද ජනාධිපතිවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Sri Lanka to Install 1,000 New Communication Towers for Nationwide 4G Coverage

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced plans to elevate Sri Lanka’s digital landscape by installing 1,000 new communication towers over the next three years, which will ensure complete nationwide coverage with advanced 4G connectivity.

Speaking at a public rally in Akurassa, the President emphasized that enhancing the digital system is a crucial objective of the government, allowing citizens to effortlessly manage various state-related tasks from the comfort of their homes.

He pointed out that for the facilities to be effectively utilized, a robust internet signal system must be established across the country. Dissanayake highlighted the pressing need to eliminate the inconvenience faced by people who have to climb onto rooftops or mountains to get a signal.

The President expressed his commitment to completing the construction of 1,000 new towers, including 250 scheduled for next year, to ensure comprehensive coverage throughout Sri Lanka within the specified timeframe.

"The digital system will be strengthened in collaboration with the government to enable many tasks to be performed from home. This requires a reliable signal; people shouldn’t need to climb rooftops or mountains, as running around looking for a signal is pointless," he said.

Notably, Sri Lanka will implement the fastest internet network for the first time using 4G technology, with plans to develop ten new towers across the nation in the coming three years. "Next year, we will construct 250 towers. In three years, we will have ten towers up, providing full coverage across the country," he added.

As the country undergoes significant political transformations, the President reiterated the government's commitment to providing pragmatic solutions to everyday challenges faced by the general public.
