රජය විසින් ගෙවීමට ඇති සමස්ත නොපියවූ ණය ප්‍රමාණය මේ වසරේ අප්‍රේල් මාසය අවසන් වන විට රුපියල් ට්‍රිලියන 30.53ක් (රුපියල් බිලියන 30,533.60ක්) දක්වා ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුවේ නවතම දත්ත වාර්තා පෙන්වා දෙයි.

වසර ආරම්භයේදී රුපියල් ට්‍රිලියන 29.99ක් (රුපියල් බිලියන 29,994.69ක්) ලෙස සටහන් වූ රජයේ මුළු ණය ප්‍රමාණය, අප්‍රේල් මාසය අවසන් වන විට රුපියල් බිලියන 539.91කින් හෙවත් රුපියල් ට්‍රිලියන 0.539කින් ඉහළ ගොස් තිබේ.

මහ බැංකු වාර්තාවලට අනුව, මෙම සමස්ත ණය බරින් රුපියල් බිලියන 18,853.43ක් දේශීය ණය ලෙස සටහන් වේ.

එම දේශීය ණය සංයුතිය සලකා බැලීමේදී භාණ්ඩාගාර බිල්පත් යටතේ පවතින ණය ප්‍රමාණය රුපියල් බිලියන 2,794.07ක් වන අතර, භාණ්ඩාගාර බැඳුම්කර යටතේ පවතින ණය ප්‍රමාණය රුපියල් බිලියන 15,756.07කි.

මේ අතර, රජයේ සමස්ත විදේශ ණය ප්‍රමාණය ද අප්‍රේල් මාසය අවසන් වන විට රුපියල් බිලියන 11,680.17ක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වී ඇත.

වසර ආරම්භයේදී රුපියල් බිලියන 11,319.36ක්ව පැවති විදේශ ණය ප්‍රමාණය, ගතවූ මාස හතරක කාලය තුළ රුපියල් බිලියන 360කින් පමණ ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බව එම වාර්තා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කරයි.

Sri Lanka's Total Outstanding Public Debt Surpasses Rs. 30 Trillion

The total outstanding public debt of the Sri Lankan government has surged to Rs. 30.53 trillion (Rs. 30,533.60 billion) by the end of April this year, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

This marks an increase from Rs. 29.99 trillion (Rs. 29,994.69 billion) recorded at the beginning of the year, reflecting a rise of Rs. 539.91 billion or approximately Rs. 0.539 trillion over a four-month period.

As detailed in the Central Bank's reports, out of this total debt burden, Rs. 18,853.43 billion is categorized as domestic debt.

Within the domestic debt structure, the amount linked to treasury bills stands at Rs. 2,794.07 billion, while the debt under treasury bonds amounts to Rs. 15,756.07 billion.

Additionally, the overall foreign debt of the government has also seen an increase, reaching Rs. 11,680.17 billion by the end of April.

From its earlier amount of Rs. 11,319.36 billion at the start of the year, this foreign debt has risen by approximately Rs. 360 billion over the past four months.
