ඉඩම් ලබා දෙනවා කියා මුදල් ගත් මන්ත්‍රීවරයකු අත්අඩංගුවට..

හැටන් රුවන්පුර ප්‍රදේශයේ ඉඩම් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිශන සභාවට අයත් ඉඩම් වලින් ඉඩම් ලබා දෙන බව පවසමින් මුදල් ලබා ගත් හැටන් දික්ඔය නගර සභාවේ (ලංකා කම්කරු කොන්ග්‍රසයේ) නාගරික මන්ත්‍රී  සුන්දරරාජ් ප්‍රභාකරන් මහතාව (24) දින රාත්‍රියේ හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ නිළධාරින් සැකපිට අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත.

සැකකරු ඉඩම් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිශන් සභාවේ නිළධාරියෙකු සමග එක්ව හැටන් රුවන්පුර ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචිකරුවන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුගෙන් රු.හය ලක්ෂ තිස් පන්දහසේ සිට රු.ලක්ෂ 10 දක්වා ගිනුමට මුදල් බැර ගෙන එම ඉඩම් ලබා නොදිම සම්බන්ධයෙන් මුදල් ලබා දුන් අයෙකු විසින් හැටන් පොලිසිය වෙත කරන ලද පැමිණිල්ලක් මත සැකකරු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත.

එම සැකකරුට මුදල් ලබා දුන් අනෙක් පාර්ශවයන්ද පොලිසිය වෙත පැමිණ පැමිණිලි කරන බවට දැනුම් දුන් බවයි හැටන් පොලිසියේ නිළධාරියෙකු කියා සිටියේ.

සැකකරුගේ බැංකු වාර්ථා සියල්ල ලබා ගත් බවත්, මෙම සිද්ධියට සම්බන්ධ ඉඩම් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිෂන් සභාවේ නිළධාරියාද අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා බවයි හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ නිළධාරියෙකු කියා සිටියේ.

අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරු (25) දින හැටන් මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරිමට නියමිතය.

Heatan Urban Councillor Arrested for Fraudulent Land Dealings

A member of the Heatan Urban Council, Sundararaj Prabhakaran, aged 24, was apprehended last night by officers from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Heatan Police. He has been accused of accepting money under the pretense of allocating land from the Land Reform Commission.

Reports indicate that Prabhakaran, in collaboration with an official from the Land Reform Commission, solicited amounts ranging from Rs. 6.5 million to Rs. 10 million from several residents of the Heatan Ruwanpura area for purported land allocations that were never delivered. His arrest followed a formal complaint lodged with the Heatan Police by one of the individuals who had paid the money.

Authorities revealed that additional complainants from the group that provided the funds are also expected to come forward to the police. Investigators have also acquired access to the suspect's bank statements as part of the ongoing inquiry. It has been noted that the official from the Land Reform Commission implicated in this case will also be taken into custody.

Prabhakaran is scheduled to be presented before the Heatan Magistrate's Court on the 25th.
