මුදල් වංචා කල බව මන්ත‍්‍රී අධිකරණයේදී පිලිගනී.. වංචා කල මුදල ගෙවන්න පොරොන්දු වේ..

ඉඩම් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිෂන් සභාවට අයත් හැටන් රුවන්පුර ප්‍රදේශයේ ඉඩම් කැබලි ලබා දෙන බවට පොරොන්දු වී පුද්ගලයන්ගෙන් මුදල් ලබා ගත් හැටන් දික්ඔය නගර සභාවේ නාගරික මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ නිළධාරින් විසින් (24) දින අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන (25) දින හැටන් මහේස්ත්‍රාත් පීටර් පෝල් මහතා වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරිමෙන් පසු සැකකරු අධිකරණය හමුවේ වරද පිලිගෙන ලබා ගත් රු. හය ලක්ෂ තිස්පන්දහසක මුදල අධිකරණය හමුවේ ගෙවීමට එකග වූ නිසා සැකකරු රු.50,000ක ශරීර ඇප මත මුදා හැර යලිත් මෙම නඩුව (10/22)දින කැදවීමට මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයා නියෝග කලහ.

මෙසේ අධිකරණය හමුවේ වරද පිලිගනු ලැබූවේ හැටන් ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි හැටන් දික්ඔය නගර සභාවේ (ලංකා කම්කරු කොන්ග්‍රසයේ) නාගරික මන්ත්‍රී  සුන්දරරාජ් ප්‍රභාකරන් යන අයයි.

සැකකරු 2022 වසරේ සිට ඉඩම් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිෂන් සභාවේ ක්ශේත්‍ර නිළදාරියෙකු සමග එක්ව හැටන් රුවන්පුර ප්‍රදේශයේ එම කොමිශන් සභාවට අයත් ඉඩම් කැබලි ලබා දෙන බවට පොරොන්දු වී සැකකරුගේ ගිණුමට රු. හය ලක්ෂයේ සිට ලක්ෂ 15 දක්වා පුද්ගලයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුගෙන් මුදල් ලබා ගෙන මෙතෙක් කල් මෙම ඉඩම ලබා නොදීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදාළ නාගරික මන්ත්‍රීවරයාට එරෙහිව හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ කරන ලද පැමිණිල්ලක් මත හැටන් කොට්ඨාශ භාර පොලිස් අධිකාරි ප්‍රදීප් වීරසේකර මහතාගේ අධික්ෂණය යටතේ විමර්ෂන සිදු කල හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂණ අංශයේ ස්ථානාධිපති පොලිස් පරික්ෂක නිශාන්තද සිල්වා මහතා සැකකරුගේ බැංකු ගිණුම් වාර්ථා ලබාගෙන සැකකරු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන අධිකරණය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරනු ලැබූහ.

අධිකරණය හමුවේ කරුණු ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් හැටන් පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්ෂන අංශයේ ස්ථානාධිපති පොලිස් පරික්ෂක නිශාන්තද සිල්වා මහතා කියා සිටියේ සැකකරු මෙවැනි මුදල් වංචා ගණනාවකට සම්බන්ධ බවත්, ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් පැමිණිලි ලැබීමෙන් පසු ඉදිරි විමර්ෂන කටයුතු සිදු කරන බවත්, මෙම මුදල් වංචාවට සම්බන්ධ ඉඩම් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිශන් සභාවේ ක්ශේත්‍ර නිළධාරියාද අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට නියමිත බවයි.

කරුණු සලකා බැලූ මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයා අධිකරණය හමුවේ කියා සිටියේ සැකකරු වරද පිලිගත් නිසා එම මුදල (25) දිනම පැමිණිලිකරුට නොගෙවන්නේ නම් සැකකරු රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාර ගත කිරිමට සිදු වන බවයි.

සැකකරු වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටි නීතිඥයින් අධිකරණය හමුවේ කියා සිටියේ පැමිණිලිකරුගේ මුදල අධිකරණය හමුවේ (25) දිනයේ ගෙවීමට සැකකරු එකග බවයි.

Urban Councillor Arrested for Land Fraud in Hatton

A local councillor from the Hatton-Dikoya Urban Council was arrested on September 24 for allegedly defrauding individuals out of money by promising them plots of land in the Hatton Ruwanpura area, which is under the purview of the Land Reconstruction Commission. The suspect was presented to Magistrate Peter Paul a day later, where he admitted guilt and agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 630,000. Consequently, he was released on a bail of Rs. 50,000, with the case scheduled for further hearing on October 22.

The councillor, Sundararaj Prabhakaran of the Lanka Labour Congress, pleaded guilty in court following complaints about his activities in the Hatton area. Reports indicate that between 2022 and the present, Prabhakaran collaborated with a field officer from the Land Reconstruction Commission, gathering funds from several individuals who believed they would receive land but were never provided any.

Under the direction of Police Inspector Nishanth Silva from the Hatton Criminal Investigation Division, inquiries were launched following complaints lodged against the councillor by affected residents. Investigators scrutinized the suspect’s bank account statements, leading to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

Presenting the case in court, Inspector Silva highlighted that the councillor was linked to multiple fraud allegations. He noted that investigations would continue, targeting not only the councillor but also the field officer from the Land Reconstruction Commission, who is expected to face similar charges.

The Magistrate warned that if the accused fails to pay the agreed amount to the complainant by the stipulated date of September 25, he would be remanded to custody.

Counsel representing the accused confirmed in court that Prabhakaran was willing to settle the matter as agreed.
