ආන්දෝලනාත්මක 'එයාර් බස්' ගනුදෙනුව සහ මහනුවර රඟහලකට පුටු මිලදී ගැනීමේදී සිදුවූ බව කියන මූල්ය අක්රමිකතා සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්රකාශ ලබාදීම සඳහා පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ සහ හිටපු අමාත්ය ජොන්ස්ටන් ප්රනාන්දු යන මහත්වරුන් අද (04) අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව හමුවට කැඳවා තිබේ.
ශ්රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ ජාතික සංවිධායක නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා කොමිසම හමුවට කැදවා ඇත්තේ එයාර් බස් ගනුදෙනුවට අදාළව සිදුකෙරෙන විමර්ශනයකට ප්රකාශයක් ලබාදීම සඳහාය.
මේ පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් මන්ත්රීවරයා සඳහන් කළේ, සැප්තැම්බර් 12 වනදා අනුරාධපුරයේ පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත දැවැන්ත විරෝධතා රැලියට පෙර තමන්ව අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන සිරගත කිරීමට රජය උත්සාහ කරන බවයි.
රජය දැඩි කලබලයකට පත්ව මර්දනය තුළින් විපක්ෂයේ හඬ යටපත් කිරීමට උත්සාහ කරන බවත්, මෙවැනි බාධා කිරීම් මගින් තම දේශපාලන ගමන නැවැත්විය නොහැකි බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.
මේ අතර, මහනුවර පොල්ගොල්ල මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ රඟහල සඳහා රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 74 ක පුටු සැපයීමේදී නියමිත ප්රසම්පාදන ක්රියාවලිය උල්ලංඝනය කරමින් රජයට පාඩුවක් සිදුකළ බවට එල්ල වී ඇති චෝදනාවකට අදාළව හිටපු අමාත්ය ජොන්ස්ටන් ප්රනාන්දු මහතා ද අද කොමිසම හමුවට කැඳවා ඇත.
2012 වසරේදී ඔහු සමුපකාර හා අභ්යන්තර වෙළඳ අමාත්යවරයා ලෙස කටයුතු කළ සමයේ, අමාත්යාංශය මගින් ටෙන්ඩර් කැඳවා තිබියදී එය නොසලකා හරිමින් වෙනත් පුද්ගලයෙකු මාර්ගයෙන් පුටු මිලදී ගැනීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් මෙම විමර්ශනය ක්රියාත්මක වේ.
මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් එවකට අමාත්යාංශ ලේකම්වරයාගෙන් ද කොමිසම ප්රකාශ සටහන් කරගෙන තිබේ.
Former Ministers summoned by Anti-Corruption Commission over Allegations of Financial Misconduct
Today, Members of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa and former Minister Johnston Fernando were summoned by the Anti-Corruption Commission to provide statements regarding financial irregularities linked to the controversial 'Air Bus' deal and the procurement of seats for the Mahanuwara Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre.
Namal Rajapaksa, the National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, appeared before the commission specifically to discuss the ongoing investigation related to the Air Bus transaction.
Expressing his concerns, the minister alleged that the government is attempting to arrest him and detain him ahead of a major protest rally scheduled for September 12 in Anuradhapura. He emphasized that such actions reflect the government's anxiety and efforts to suppress the opposition's voice through intimidation.
Furthermore, he asserted that these attempts to obstruct his political journey would ultimately be futile.
Simultaneously, Johnston Fernando was also called to the commission concerning allegations of financial misconduct during the procurement of seats worth 7.4 million rupees for the Mahanuwara Theatre. The accusations claim that the established procurement processes were violated, resulting in a loss to the government.
The investigation is focusing on events from 2012 when Fernando served as the Minister of Cooperatives and Internal Trade, during which the ministry had issued a tender that he allegedly overlooked in favor of purchasing seats through other means. The commission has already recorded statements from the then Secretary of the Ministry in connection with this incident.
