 හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා කවදා හෝ මිය ගියහොත් ඔහුට පුළුන් පුරවා හෝ වේදිකාවල තැබීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ පිරිස් කටයුතු කරනු ඇති බව අධිකරණ අමාත්‍ය, නීතිඥ හර්ෂණ නානායක්කාර මහතා පවසයි.

වැලිගම පැවති ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ ජන රැලිය අමතමින් ඒ මහතා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා වයෝවෘද්ධ පුද්ගලයකු ලෙස තමන් ගරු කරන බවත්, ඔහුට දීර්ඝායුෂ ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරන බවත්ය.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, පසුගියදා වේදිකාවකදී ඔහුගේ සෞඛ්‍ය තත්ත්වය දුටු විට දැඩි සංවේගයක් ඇති වූ බව හෙතෙම සඳහන් කළේය.

පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ දේශපාලනය සියයට දෙකහමාරේ මට්ටමටම ඇදවැටී ඇති පසුබිමක, ඔවුනට ජනතාව ඉදිරියේ කතා කිරීමට කිසිදු දේශපාලන මාතෘකාවක් ඉතිරිව නොමැති බව පැවසූ අමාත්‍යවරයා, ඒ හේතුවෙන් අසරණව හිස එසවීමට නොහැකිව අසාධ්‍ය තත්ත්වයේ පසුවන මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාව තැන තැන රැගෙන යන බවට චෝදනා කළේය.

"මහින්ද මහත්තයා තව දීර්ඝ කාලයක් ජීවත් වෙන්න ඕනේ. නමුත් කවදා හරි මහින්ද මහත්තයා මළොත්, මේ කට්ටියට වෙන දෙයක් නැති හින්දා මහින්ද මහත්තයාට පුළුන් පුරවලා හරි ස්ටේජ් එක උඩ තියන්න බැරි නෑ" යනුවෙන් අමාත්‍යවරයා එහිදී අවධාරණය කළේය.

එබැවින් එවැනි ක්‍රියාකලාපයන්හි නිරත වන දේශපාලන කණ්ඩායම් ජනතාව විසින් සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම බැහැර කළ යුතු බවත්, ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා අසලින්වත් තැබිය නොහැකි පිරිසක් අද විපක්ෂයේ රැඳී සිටින බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Legacy Under Scrutiny Amid Political Turmoil

Amidst ongoing political discourse, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's potential funeral arrangements have sparked intense discussions. Justice Minister and lawyer Harsha de Silva revealed that should Rajapaksa pass away, members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party might resort to placing him on stages or enshrining him in public spaces.

Addressing a rally held by the National People’s Power in Weligama, de Silva emphasized his respect for Rajapaksa as an elder statesman, wishing him longevity. Yet, he expressed deep concern for the former leader's health after witnessing his condition during a recent public appearance.

The Justice Minister commented on the predicament faced by the Podujana Peramuna, suggesting that they have run out of viable political themes to address in front of the public, given the party's waning influence. He alleged that ailing Rajapaksa is being paraded around as a symbol, despite his deteriorating health.

"Mahinda must live for a long time. However, if one day he passes away, this group will have nothing left but to use his legacy to fill stages," de Silva underscored, highlighting the potential exploitation of Rajapaksa's image posthumously.

He urged that political factions engaging in such activities should be entirely rejected by the populace, pointing out that there remain individuals in the opposition who are unfit to be associated even closely with President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
