 සිංගප්පූරු ආයෝජකයන් දෙදෙනෙකු විසින් මෙරට ආයෝජනය සඳහා රැගෙන ආ අමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 7කට ආසන්න මුදලක් (රුපියල් කෝටි 200කට අධික), හිටපු අමාත්‍ය රෝහිත බෝගොල්ලාගම මහතාගේ පුත් දක්ෂිත බෝගොල්ලාගම නමැත්තා විසින් වංචනික ලෙස සිය පෞද්ගලික ව්‍යාපාර සඳහා යොදවා ඇති බවට චෝදනා කරමින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා වෙත ලිඛිත පැමිණිල්ලක් භාර දී තිබේ.

'සිවිල් බුද්ධි පෙරමුණ' සංවිධානයේ සභාපති සංජය මහවත්ත මහතා ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය වෙත මෙම පැමිණිල්ල ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් මේ බව අනාවරණය කළේය.

ඔහු සඳහන් කළේ, 2022 වසරේදී සිංගප්පූරු ජාතික Lee සහ Andrew යන ආයෝජකයන් දෙදෙනා Limit One නමැති සමාගම හරහා ශ්‍රී ලංකා ආයෝජන මණ්ඩලයේ අනුමැතිය සහිත ව්‍යාපෘතියක් ලෙස මෙම මුදල මෙරටට රැගෙන ආ බවයි. එම ආයෝජනය මෙරටදී භාරගැනීම සඳහා Lankaila නමින් සමාගමක් පිහිටුවා ඇති අතර, එවකට පැවති දේශපාලන බලය සහ සබඳතා උපයෝගී කරගනිමින් හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයාගේ පුත් දක්ෂිත බෝගොල්ලාගම එහි හිමිකාරිත්වය ලබාගෙන ඇති බවද හෙතෙම පැවසීය.

විදේශ ආයෝජකයන් දෙදෙනා නොමඟ යවමින්, දක්ෂිත බෝගොල්ලාගම නමැත්තා අදාළ ඩොලර් මිලියන හතක මුදල තමන්ගේ පෞද්ගලික ධනයක් ලෙස භාවිත කරමින් හෝටල් 6ක ආයෝජනය කර ඇති බව මහවත්ත මහතා චෝදනා කරයි. සිලෝන් හොටෙල්ස්, සෙරීන් ස්ටාර්, ඔගාරි එජ් සහ සන්රයිස් කබානාස් ඇතුළු හෝටල් කිහිපයකට එම මුදල් යොදවා පසුව නීතිවිරෝධී ලෙස එම හෝටල් සමූහයේ කොටස් වෙනත් තුන්වන පාර්ශ්වයන් වෙත පවරා ඇති බවද ඔහු හෙළි කළේය.

පසුගිය පාලන සමයන්හි දේශපාලනඥයන්ගේ දරුවන් සිදුකළ මෙවැනි මූල්‍ය වංචා හේතුවෙන් සෘජු විදේශ ආයෝජකයන් මෙරටට පැමිණීමට බියක් දක්වන බව පෙන්වා දුන් සංජය මහවත්ත මහතා, මොහු විසින් අක්කර අටක පමණ රජයේ ඉඩමක් ද ගොඩකර අත්පත් කරගැනීමේ සිද්ධියක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඉදිරියේදී කරුණු හෙළි කරන බවද පැවසීය.

විදේශ ආයෝජනවලට මෙන්ම රටේ ආර්ථිකයට ද දැඩි ලෙස හානි පමුණුවන මෙවැනි වංචා පිළිබඳව වහාම අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණයක් ආරම්භ කර නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලෙස ජනාධිපතිවරයාගෙන් සහ වත්මන් රජයෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටි බවද ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

Allegations of Investment Fraud Involving Former Minister's Son Raised with President

Fresh allegations have emerged claiming that a sum of nearly $7 million, over 200 million Sri Lankan Rupees, brought into the country by two Singaporean investors was fraudulently appropriated for personal business ventures by Dakshitha Bogollagama, the son of former minister Rohitha Bogollagama. This complaint has been formally submitted to the President.

Sanjiya Mahawatte, chairman of the Civil Intelligence Front organization, revealed this information to the media after presenting the complaint to the Presidential Secretariat. He emphasized that the investment, facilitated through a company named Limit One, received approval from the Sri Lanka Board of Investment in 2022, thanks to the efforts of Singaporean nationals Lee and Andrew.

According to Mahawatte, a company named Lankaila was established to manage the investment upon its arrival in Sri Lanka. He noted that leveraging political influence and connections, Dakshitha Bogollagama secured ownership of this enterprise.

Further allegations state that Bogollagama, disregarding the investors, has misappropriated the $7 million for personal gain, investing in six hotels, including Ceylon Hotels, Serene Star, Ogari Edge, and Sunrise Kabanas. Mahawatte pointed out that these funds have since been unlawfully transferred to third parties, further complicating the situation.

This latest scandal has raised concerns about the willingness of direct foreign investors to consider Sri Lanka as a viable investment destination, with Mahawatte highlighting previous financial fraud committed by children of politicians during past administrations. He announced plans to disclose further details regarding a related incident involving the illegal acquisition of approximately eight acres of government land.

In light of such fraudulent activities, which significantly jeopardize not only foreign investments but also the broader economy, Mahawatte called for immediate criminal investigations and legal action from the President and the current government.
