අජිත් රෝහණ විශ‍්‍රාම යයි...

 වයඹ පළාත් භාර ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නියෝජ්‍ය පොලිස්පති නීතිඥ ආචාර්ය අජිත් රෝහණ මහතා වසර 38ක දීර්ඝ සේවා කාලයක් සම්පූර්ණ කරමින් අද (08) පොලිස් සේවයෙන් විශ්‍රාම ලැබීය.

ඒ මහතාගේ විශ්‍රාම යාම නිමිත්තෙන් කුරුණෑගල වෙලගෙදර ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේදී පොලිස් ආචාර පෙළපාලියක් සහ උපහාර උළෙලක් පවත්වනු ලැබීය.

පොලිස් ඉතිහාසයේ ලාබාලතම නියෝජ්‍ය පොලිස්පතිවරයා (DIG) ලෙස වාර්තා අතරට එක්වූ අජිත් රෝහණ මහතා, නීතිවේදී (LL.B) උපාධිධාරියෙකු මෙන්ම ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණයේ නීතිඥවරයෙකු ලෙස ද කටයුතු කරමින් පොලිස් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට නීතිමය ක්ෂේත්‍රයෙන් ඉහළ දායකත්වයක් ලබා දුන් නිලධාරියෙකි.

විශේෂයෙන්ම කොවිඩ්-19 වසංගත සමයේ පොලිස් මාධ්‍ය ප්‍රකාශකවරයා ලෙස ඔහු ඉටුකළ සුවිශේෂී සන්නිවේදන කාර්යභාරය සහ ඔහුගේ වෘත්තීය නිපුණතාවය හේතුවෙන් ඔහු මහජනතාව අතර ඉමහත් ප්‍රසාදයට හා ගෞරවයට පාත්‍ර විය. ඕනෑම සංකීර්ණ ගැටලුවක් සරලව සහ පැහැදිලිව ජනතාවට සන්නිවේදනය කිරීමේ හැකියාව ඔහුගේ වෘත්තීය ජීවිතයේ කැපී පෙනෙන ලක්ෂණයක් විය.

අවිස්සාවේල්ල, කොස්ගම ප්‍රදේශයේ උපත ලබා කොළඹ ආනන්ද විද්‍යාලයෙන් මූලික අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබූ ඒ මහතා, ශ්‍රී ලංකා විවෘත විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයෙන් නීතිවේදී උපාධිය ලබා ගත්තේය.

Veteran Police Officer Ajith Rohana Retires After 38 Years of Service

Today marks the retirement of Ajith Rohana, the esteemed Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Western Province, concluding an impressive 38-year career with the Sri Lanka Police. His retirement ceremony took place at the Welagedara Sports Ground in Kurunegala, featuring a grand parade and a tribute celebration.

Rohana holds the distinction of being the youngest officer to ascend to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in police history. A legal expert with an LL.B degree, he has significantly contributed to the legal field within the Police Department, also serving as a lawyer in the Supreme Court.

His role as the Police Media Spokesperson during the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly noteworthy, showcasing his exceptional communication skills and professionalism, which earned him immense respect and admiration from the public. Known for his ability to convey complex issues in a clear and simple manner, Rohana’s communicative prowess marked a defining feature of his career.

Born in the Avissawella and Kossgama areas, Rohana completed his primary education at Ananda College in Colombo before obtaining his law degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka.
