ඉන්ධන මිල වැඩි කල යුතුමයි.. අපට පාඩු දරන්න බෑ.. භාණ්ඩාගාරයට දරන්න වෙන්නේ..- IOC කියයි..

 ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ දැනට පවතින ඉන්ධන සිල්ලර මිල ගණන් ජාත්‍යන්තර වෙළෙඳපොළේ අවම මිල මට්ටමටත් වඩා බෙහෙවින් පහළින් පවතින බැවින්, දේශීය ඉන්ධන මිල වහාම සංශෝධනය කළ යුතුව ඇතැයි ලංකා ඉන්දියන් ඔයිල් සමාගමේ කළමනාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ කේ. රගු මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කරයි.

සිංගප්පූරුවෙන් සහ ඉන්දියාවෙන් වඩාත් තරගකාරී අවම මිල ගණන් යටතේ ඉන්ධන ආනයනය කළද, පවතින දේශීය සිල්ලර මිල යටතේ එම ආනයන පිරිවැය හෝ පියවා ගැනීමට නොහැකි වී ඇතැයි හෙතෙම පෙන්වා දෙයි.

සැප්තැම්බර් 26 වන දින දක්වා පවතින ගණනය කිරීම්වලට අනුව, මෙරට අලෙවි කරන ඩීසල් ලීටරයකින් රුපියල් 140 ක පමණ පාඩුවක් සමාගමට දැරීමට සිදුව තිබේ. ලංකා අයිඕසී සමාගමේ ඩීසල් ලීටරයක ආනයන පිරිවැය රුපියල් 136 ක් පමණ වන බවත්, එය දේශීය වෙළෙඳපොළේ ක්‍රියාත්මක අනෙකුත් විදෙස් සමාගම් වන සිනොපෙක් සහ ආර්.එම්. පාක්ස් සමාගම්වලට වඩා අඩු අගයක් බවත් ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

කලාපීය ඉන්ධන මිල මිණුම් ලකුණ වන සිංගප්පූරු ප්ලැට්ස් සාමාන්‍ය මිල දර්ශකයට වඩා මෙරට සිල්ලර මිල පහළ මට්ටමක පවතින බව පෙන්වා දෙන ඒ මහතා, ජාත්‍යන්තර වෙළෙඳපොළේ ඩීසල් බැරලයක මිල මේ වන විට ඩොලර් 172 - 173 අතර ඉහළ මට්ටමක පැවතුණ ද, ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සිල්ලර මිල නියම කර ඇත්තේ බැරලයක් ඩොලර් 125 ක් වැනි ඉතා පහළ අගයකට සරිලන පරිදි බව පැවසීය.

ලෝක වෙළෙඳපොළේ බොරතෙල් බැරලයක් ඩොලර් 105 ක්, පෙට්‍රල් ඩොලර් 145 ක් සහ ඩීසල් ඩොලර් 170 ක් පමණ වන පසුබිමක, ප්‍රවාහන ගාස්තුද සහිතව මීට වඩා අඩු මුදලකට කිසිදු ආයතනයකට ඉන්ධන ආනයනය කළ නොහැකි බව හෙතෙම අවධාරණය කළේය.

මෙරට සමස්ත ඉන්ධන වෙළෙඳපොළෙන් 35% ක පමණ කොටසක් විදේශීය ඉන්ධන සමාගම් සතුවීම හේතුවෙන් මහා භාණ්ඩාගාරය මත පැටවීමට තිබූ දැවැන්ත මූල්‍ය බර සැලකිය යුතු ලෙස ලිහිල් වූ බවද රගු මහතා සිහිපත් කළේය. එම සමාගම් මෙරට වෙළෙඳපොළට එක් නොවූයේ නම්, ජාත්‍යන්තර ආනයන පිරිවැය සහ දේශීය විකුණුම් මිල අතර පවතින මෙම දැවැන්ත පරතරය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම භාණ්ඩාගාරය හරහා පියවීමට සිදුවන බව ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

සමාගම් විසින් උපරිම සහනදායී මිලකට ඉන්ධන සැපයීමට කටයුතු කළද, ලෝක වෙළෙඳපොළේ මිල පාලනය කළ නොහැකි තත්ත්වයක පවතින බවද ඔහු කීය.

මෙම අර්බුදකාරී තත්ත්වය හමුවේ දේශීය සිල්ලර මිල ගණන් කඩිනමින් සංශෝධනය කරන ලෙස හෝ ආනයන හා බෙදාහැරීමේ සැබෑ පිරිවැය පිළිබිඹු වන ආකාරයේ පිරිවැය පාදක මිල සූත්‍රයක් හඳුන්වා දෙන ලෙස ලංකා අයිඕසී කළමනාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් රජයෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියි.

Urgent Call for Fuel Price Adjustment in Sri Lanka Amidst Global Market Trends

The current retail prices of fuel in Sri Lanka remain significantly lower than the minimal levels on the international market, prompting a call for immediate adjustments, asserted K. Ragu, Managing Director of Lanka Indian Oil Company.

Despite importing fuel under competitive minimal pricing from Singapore and India, the existing local retail prices are insufficient to cover import costs, Ragu highlighted. As of September 26, the company has been incurring a loss of approximately Rs. 140 for every liter of diesel sold in the country, with the import cost of diesel hovering around Rs. 136. This is notably lower than the rates offered by other foreign companies such as Sinopec and RM Packs in the domestic market.

He emphasized that local diesel prices are currently below the regional benchmark, citing that while international diesel barrel prices range between $172 and $173, Sri Lanka's retail price has been stabilized at an exceptionally low rate, equivalent to around $125 per barrel.

With the price of a barrel of crude oil on the international market standing at $105, gasoline at $145, and diesel at approximately $170, Ragu stressed that no organization could feasibly import fuel at costs lower than these, even accounting for transport expenses.

Notably, foreign fuel companies control about 35% of the total fuel market in Sri Lanka, easing the financial burden on the treasury significantly. Ragu pointed out that without these companies operating in the local market, the substantial gap between international import costs and local selling prices would have entirely landed on the treasury.

While firms have made efforts to supply fuel at maximum subsidized prices, Ragu indicated that the inability to control prices on the global market exacerbates the situation. He urged the government to act swiftly to reform local retail prices or introduce a pricing mechanism that accurately reflects the true import and distribution costs in light of the prevailing crisis.
