එහිදී ගෝනි මලු 6ක අසුරා තිබූ මෙම මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගය අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ.
මෙම මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගය ගැඹුරු මුහුදේ සිට මෙරට ධීවර යාත්‍රා ආධාරයෙන් වෙරළ තීරය වෙත රැගෙනවිත්, පසුව රට තුළ බෙදාහැරීම සඳහා සූදානම් කර තිබූ එකක් බවට සැක පළ කෙරේ.
මෙලෙස සොයාගත් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගය නිශ්චිත වර්ගය සහ වටිනාකම තහවුරු කරගැනීම සඳහා රස පරීක්ෂකවරයා වෙත යොමු කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇත.
Massive Drug Seizure Off Mirissa Coast
In a significant operation by security forces, a haul of over 120 kilograms of suspected narcotics was seized off the Mirissa coastline. The operation was executed following a critical intelligence tip-off received by local law enforcement agencies.
During a specialized search operation conducted on the Mirissa beach, officers discovered this substantial cache of drugs, which had been stowed away in six large sacks. The authorities believe that the drug shipment was transported from deep sea via fishing vessels and was intended for distribution within the country.
As of now, the seized contraband has been sent to a forensic examiner to determine its specific type and value. This seizure represents a significant blow to drug trafficking operations in the region, underscoring ongoing efforts to combat the illicit drug trade.
