In a bold rebuttal to rumors circulating on social media regarding her hospitalization at the Panadura Base Hospital, MP Nalanti Kotthahachchi of the National People’s Power party has provided a colorful response. These rumors, which falsely reported her admission, are said to have originated from a manipulated news segment featuring the emblem and format of a television channel.

Addressing the fabricated reports, Kotthahachchi took to her Facebook account, sharing a photograph of herself smiling while in transit in a vehicle. Her post, laced with sarcasm, directly countered the claims being spread about her health.

In her engaging commentary, she included a light-hearted remark: "I was just checking to see why the opposition's show was delayed this Saturday... I am on my way to be admitted to this hospital. Please bring apples, mamitis, and Nesto Malt; let’s not forget the cream cakes..."

This playful yet assertive message has added a humorous twist to the narrative, demonstrating her ability to manage misinformation with grace and wit.
