 කොළඹ වරාය නගරයේ කම්කරු නේවාසිකාගාරය අසලදී දෙපිරිසක් අතර ඊයේ (09) රාත්‍රියේ ඇති වූ ගැටුමකදී තියුණු ආයුධයකින් පහර කා බරපතළ තුවාල ලැබූ පුද්ගලයෙකු ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව ඇතැයි පොලිසිය පවසයි.

මෙලෙස මියගොස් ඇත්තේ බණ්ඩාරවෙල ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචිකරුවෙකි.

පොලිස් විමර්ශනවලදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත්තේ, ඊයේ රාත්‍රියේ එම කම්කරු නේවාසිකාගාරය අසල සේවකයන් පිරිසක් එක්ව සාදයක් පවත්වා ඇති බවයි.

එහිදී ඇති වූ බහින්බස්වීමක් ක්‍රමයෙන් දුරදිග ගොස් දෙපිරිසක් අතර ගැටුමක් හටගෙන ඇති අතර, එහිදී එක් පාර්ශ්වයක් විසින් එල්ල කරන ලද තියුණු ආයුධ ප්‍රහාරයකින් අදාළ පුද්ගලයා බරපතළ කැපුම් තුවාල ලබා තිබේ.

සිද්ධියෙන් අනතුරුව බරපතළ තුවාල ලැබූ පුද්ගලයා වහාම කොළඹ ජාතික රෝහලට ඇතුළත් කර ඇති නමුත්, එහිදී ප්‍රතිකාර ලබමින් සිටියදී ඔහු මියගොස් ඇත.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදාළ ප්‍රදේශය භාර පොලිසිය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන ආරම්භ කර ඇති අතර, ඝාතනයට සම්බන්ධ සැකකරුවන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට පියවර ගනිමින් සිටී.

Colombo Dockworker Killed in Stabbing Incident

A man has tragically lost his life following a violent altercation near the workers' quarters in the Colombo port city last night (September 9). Police report that the victim sustained severe injuries from a sharp weapon during the confrontation.

The deceased was identified as a resident of the Bandaragama area.

Investigations revealed that a group of employees was gathered for a celebration near the workers' quarters when an argument escalated into a physical fight. The conflict intensified, leading to one party using a sharp weapon, resulting in critical injuries to the victim.

After the incident, emergency services rushed the injured man to the National Hospital in Colombo; however, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

The police in charge of the area have launched a thorough investigation into the incident and are actively working to apprehend suspects linked to the homicide.
