 කටුනායක බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන්තොටුපළෙන් මහා බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයේ ලන්ඩන් නුවර බලා පියාසර කිරීමට සූදානම් වූ ශ්‍රීලංකන් ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් මගී ගුවන් යානයක එන්ජිමක හටගත් කාර්මික දෝෂයක් හේතුවෙන්, එහි ගුවන්ගතවීම හදිසියේ අත්හිටුවීමට පියවර ගත් බව ගුවන් සේවා තොරතුරු වාර්තා කරන 'ඒවියේෂන් වොයිස්' වාර්තා කරයි.

ශ්‍රීලංකන් ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් එයාර්බස් A330-300 වර්ගයේ 4R-ALR දරන UL503 ගුවන් යානය ධාවන පථය ඔස්සේ ඉහළට එසවීමට සූදානම් වූ අවස්ථාවේදී එහි අංක 02 එන්ජිමේ මෙම හදිසි දෝෂය හටගෙන තිබේ.

එම අවස්ථාවේදී ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ ගුවන් නියමුවන් අධික වේගයෙන් ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබූ යානය ගුවන්ගත කිරීම වහාම අත්හිටුවා එය ආරක්ෂිතව පාලනය කර ගැනීමට සමත්ව ඇත. 

හදිසි තිරිංග යෙදීමත් සමඟ ගුවන් යානයේ ටයර්වලට ද හානි සිදුව ඇති බව මූලික නිරීක්ෂණවලින් අනාවරණය වී ඇති අතර, සිදුවීමට තුඩුදුන් නිශ්චිත හේතු මෙතෙක් අනාවරණය වී නොමැත.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, නියමුවන්ගේ කඩිනම් සහ නිවැරදි තීරණය හේතුවෙන් යානයේ සිටි සියලුම මගීන් සහ කාර්ය මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයන් කිසිදු හානියකින් තොරව ආරක්ෂිතව බේරා ගැනීමට හැකිවූ බව තහවුරු කර තිබේ.

An unexpected mechanical failure in the engine of a SriLankan Airlines passenger aircraft has prompted an emergency halt to its takeoff from Bandaranaike International Airport, as reported by the aviation news outlet 'Aviation Voice'. The flight, which was bound for London in the United Kingdom, was preparing for departure when the incident occurred.

The Airbus A330-300, registered as 4R-ALR and operating as flight UL503, experienced a sudden malfunction in its number two engine while taxiing on the runway. At that moment, the flight crew, acting swiftly and decisively, took immediate action to abort the takeoff and manage the aircraft safely.

Initial assessments have indicated that the emergency landing resulted in damage to the aircraft's tires. However, the specific causes of the failure remain unclear at this time.

Thanks to the flight crew's prompt and precise decision-making, all passengers and crew members aboard were safely evacuated without injuries. Confirmations of their well-being have been provided by authorities.

In response to the incident, the engineering and technical team at SriLankan Airlines has initiated a detailed investigation to uncover the underlying cause of this emergency event.
