බන්ධනාගාරගතව පසුවන පූජ්‍ය ගලගොඩඅත්තේ ඥානසාර හිමියන්ගේ සිවුර ඉවත් කිරීමට උත්සාහ දරා ඇත්තේ බන්ධනාගාරය තුළ කෘත්‍රිම ගැටුමක් මවාපා උන්වහන්සේ ඝාතනය කිරීමේ රහසිගත සැලැස්මක් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා භික්ෂු විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ බෞද්ධ හා පාලි අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ මහාචාර්ය පූජ්‍ය පාතේගම ඤාණිස්සර හිමියෝ චෝදනා කරති.
උන්වහන්සේ සඳහන් කළේ, බන්ධනාගාර නිලධාරීන් හරහා මෙම බරපතළ කුමන්ත්‍රණය පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු මේ වන විට අනාවරණය වී ඇති බවයි.
බන්ධනාගාරය තුළ ගැටුමක් නිර්මාණය කර, ඥානසාර හිමියන් පිස්තෝලයක් පැහැරගෙන තමන්ටම වෙඩි තබාගත් බව ඇඟවෙන ආකාරයේ ව්‍යාජ කතාවක් සමාජගත කිරීම ආණ්ඩුවේ පාර්ශ්වයන්ගේ අපේක්ෂාව වී තිබූ බව ද උන්වහන්සේ ප්‍රකාශ කළහ.
ලංකා ඉතිහාසයේ මීට පෙර අවස්ථාවලදී ද භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා බරපතළ වැඩ සහිතව සිරදඬුවම් විඳ ඇති නමුත්, කිසිදු පාලකයකු උන්වහන්සේලාගේ සිවුර ගැලවීමට කටයුතු නොකළ බව පෙන්වා දුන් මහාචාර්ය හිමියෝ, ඥානසාර හිමියන් මීට පෙර අවස්ථාවේ සිරගත වූ විට ද එවැනි දෙයක් සිදු නොවූ බව සිහිපත් කළහ.
උන්වහන්සේ පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, අතීතයේ සිරගත කෙරුණු හේන්පිටගෙදර ඥානසීහ හිමියන් බන්ධනාගාරය තුළ සිවුරු පිටින්ම වැඩ වෙසෙමින් ග්‍රන්ථ 18 ක් රචනා කළ බවත්, උන්වහන්සේ රචිත 'ගාමිණී චරිතං' පාලි පද්‍ය කෘතියට රාජ්‍ය සාහිත්‍ය සම්මානය පවා හිමි වූ බවත්ය.
එමෙන්ම දේශපාලන ක්‍රියාකාරිකයකු මෙන්ම නිදහස් සටනේ පුරෝගාමියකු වූ උඩකැන්දවල සරණංකර හිමියන් මැගසින් බන්ධනාගාරයේ ගත කළ අරගලකාරී ජීවිතය උන්වහන්සේගේ 'සටනක සටහන්' කෘතිය මඟින් මනාව පැහැදිලි වන බව ද සඳහන් කළහ.
එවන් ඓතිහාසික පසුබිමක් පවතිද්දී, ඉතිහාසය නිසි ලෙස හදාරන්නේ නැතිව පක්ෂ කාර්යාලවලින් ලියා දෙන පිටපත් කියවන මෙවැනි බොළඳ, කපටි සහ ව්‍යාජ පාලකයකු මෙරට ජනාධිපති ධුරයට පත්වීම කනගාටුදායක බව පැවසූ උන්වහන්සේ, මෙවැනි විනාශකාරී ක්‍රියා වහා නතර කළ යුතු බව ද අවධාරණය කළහ.
Allegations of Conspiracy Against Imprisoned Buddhist Monk
Controversy has erupted surrounding the detention of Venerable Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero, with accusations of a planned assassination attempt emerging. Professor Ven. Pathegama Gnanasiri, a leading figure from the Buddhist and Pali Studies Department at the University of Sri Lanka, has raised serious concerns about alleged efforts to stage a fabricated conflict within the prison.
He revealed that information regarding this grave conspiracy has now come to light through prison officials. The narrative suggested that a clash inside the prison was orchestrated with the intent of portraying Gnanasara Thero as having acquired a firearm that he subsequently used on himself—a story that appears to be part of a broader agenda by certain government elements.
Historically, monks have endured severe punishments while imprisoned, yet no past regime has taken measures to release them from their plight, as highlighted by the professor. He recalled that during previous incarcerations of monks, similar actions to resolve their dire situations were not witnessed.
Furthermore, he pointed out the significant contributions of previous prisoners, such as Ven. Hennapita Sinha Thero, who penned 18 books while incarcerated, including the esteemed 'Gamini Charitha', which even won a national literary award.
The professor also mentioned the struggles and resilience of the late Ven. Udadumbara Sarannkara, a notable political activist and leader in the fight for freedom, whose experiences were eloquently depicted in his work ‘Sataka Satahan.’
Given this historical backdrop, the professor lamented the current political climate, criticizing the rise of leaders who base their legitimacy on superficial and misleading narratives, rather than a comprehensive understanding of history. He insisted on the urgent need to halt such destructive actions immediately.
