හැටන්හිදී පැවැති විශේෂ මාධ්‍ය හමුවකට එක්වෙමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකා කම්කරු ජනතා පෙරමුණේ සභාපති චමීර පෙරේරා මහතා කියා සිටියේ, බුද්ධාගම සහ සිංහල බෞද්ධ රාජ්‍යය සුරැකීමේ මුවාවෙන් පසුගිය දින කිහිපයේ ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට උත්සාහ කළ සත්‍යග්‍රහය, රාජපක්ෂ පවුලේ දේශපාලන න්‍යාය පත්‍රයේ තවත් එක් පියවරක් බවයි.

“පසුගිය කාලය පුරාම මේ රටේ ජනතාව පීඩාවට පත් කරමින් බලය ලබාගැනීමට කටයුතු කළ බලකාමී දේශපාලන කල්ලියක මෙහෙයවීමෙන් තමයි මේ ක්‍රියාමාර්ග සංවිධානය වුණේ කියලා අපි විශ්වාස කරනවා. කිංස්බරි හෝටලයේ පැවැති බව කියන සංවෘත සාකච්ඡාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් සමාජ මාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ හෙළිවූ තොරතුරුත් එක්ක මේ පිටුපස තිබෙන දේශපාලන අරමුණු පිළිබඳ බරපතළ සැකයක් මතුවෙනවා.

“පාස්කු ඉරිදා බෝම්බ ප්‍රහාරයෙන් අහිංසක ජීවිත 300කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක් අහිමි වූ පසුබිමක බලයට පැමිණි දේශපාලන රටාවට සමානව, මේ අවස්ථාවේදීත් මහජනතාවගේ හැඟීම් අවුස්සා දේශපාලන වාසි ලබාගැනීමට මෙවැනි හමුවීම් හා ක්‍රියාමාර්ග යොදාගෙන තිබෙනවාද කියන එක විමර්ශනය කළ යුතුයි.

“කිංස්බරි හෝටලයේ පැවැති බව කියන මෙම රහසිගත සාකච්ඡාවට සම්බන්ධ වූ පුද්ගලයන් කවුද, එහිදී සාකච්ඡා කළේ මොනවාද, එහි සැබෑ අරමුණ කුමක්ද කියන කරුණු පිළිබඳව ආරක්ෂක අංශ සහ අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වහාම පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වන්න ඕනෑ. නීති උල්ලංඝනය කර ඇති බව තහවුරු වුවහොත් අදාළ පුද්ගලයන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කර අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට පියවර ගත යුතුයි.

“අන්තර්ජාතික සිවිල් හා දේශපාලන අයිතිවාසිකම් පිළිබඳ සම්මුතියට අදාළ පනත ඇතුළු අදාළ නීති රාමුව යටතේ මේ කරුණු විමර්ශනය කළ යුතුයි. රටේ ජනතාවගේ ආගමික භක්තිය සහ හැඟීම් දේශපාලන බලය ලබාගැනීම සඳහා යොදාගන්නා සියලු උත්සාහයන් ජනතාව හමුවේ හෙළි කළ යුතුයි.

“ජාතික ජන බලවේග රජයට ජනතාව බලය ලබාදුන්නේ මෙවැනි දූෂිත හා කුමන්ත්‍රණකාරී දේශපාලන සංස්කෘතිය අවසන් කරන්නයි. ඒ නිසා ජනාධිපතිවරයා ඇතුළු වගකිවයුතු බලධාරීන් වහාම මැදිහත් වෙලා, කිංස්බරි හෝටල් සාකච්ඡාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් පූර්ණ විමර්ශනයක් පවත්වා එහි සැබෑ තත්ත්වය රටට හෙළි කළ යුතුයි” යනුවෙන් ද චමීර පෙරේරා මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

මෙම මාධ්‍ය හමුවට ශ්‍රී ලංකා කම්කරු ජනතා පෙරමුණේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් සහ නුවරඑළිය ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ හිටපු මන්ත්‍රී ඩැනියෙල් නෝල් ජෙනාස්ටන් මහතා ඇතුළු පක්ෂ නියෝජිතයෝ පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටියහ.

Calls for Investigation into Alleged Secret Meetings Amid Political Turmoil

At a recent media briefing held in Hatton, Chamira Perera, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Workers' People's Front, expressed serious concerns over a recently attempted protest under the guise of safeguarding Buddhism and the Sinhala-Buddhist state. He emphasized that this action marks yet another step in the political strategy of the Rajapaksa family.

Perera elaborated on his skepticism regarding the actions of a powerful political faction, which he claims has consistently sought power at the expense of the people. He referenced information circulated on social media about a purported secret discussion at the Kingsbury Hotel, raising grave questions about the political motives behind these clandestine meetings.

“In the aftermath of the Easter Sunday bombings, which claimed over 300 innocent lives, the political climate mirrors that of the current situation, where public sentiment is being manipulated for political gain through such gatherings and actions. An inquiry into this matter is necessary,” he stated.

He stressed the need for an immediate investigation by security forces and the Criminal Investigation Department into the identities of those involved in the alleged Kingsbury Hotel discussions, the topics covered, and their true intentions. If laws have indeed been violated, those responsible must face legal consequences.

Perera further urged that the issues surrounding this incident should be examined within the legal framework, including legislation related to international civil and political rights. He insisted that any efforts to exploit the religious sentiments of the populace for political power must be brought to light.

“The people granted authority to the National People's Power to eradicate such corrupt and conspiratorial political practices. It is imperative that responsible authorities, including the President, intervene and conduct a thorough investigation into the Kingsbury discussions to reveal the true circumstances to the nation,” Perera added.

This media event was also attended by key representatives from the Sri Lanka Workers' People's Front, including General Secretary and former member of the Nuwara Eliya Pradeshiya Sabha, Daniel Noel Janastan.
