නොබෝසත්තු රජ නොවිය යුතුයි.. රජකම ලැබෙන්නේ චීවරය රකින්නයි..- අස්ගිරියෙන් ප‍්‍රකාශයක්..

බෝධිසත්ව ගුණ නොමැති පුද්ගලයන් මේ රටේ රාජ්‍යත්වයට පත් නොවිය යුතු බව යැයි මෙරට පුරාතන සෙල්ලිපිවල පවා පැහැදිලිව දක්වා ඇති බව අස්ගිරි පාර්ශ්වයේ ලේඛකාධිකාරී ආචාර්ය පූජ්‍ය මැදගම ධම්මානන්ද නාහිමියෝ පවසති. 

පාලකයන්ට රජකම හිමිවන්නේම බුද්ධ ශාසනයත් සම්බුද්ධ චීවරයත් ආරක්ෂා කරගැනීම උදෙසා බව පෙන්වා දෙන උන්වහන්සේ, වර්තමානයේ රට තුළ අසන්නට සහ දකින්නට ලැබෙන ඇතැම් සිදුවීම් පිළිබඳව බලවත් සංවේගයක් උපදින බවද සඳහන් කළහ.

ආගමික වැඩසටහනක් අමතමින් නාහිමියන් මෙම අදහස් පළ කර තිබේ.

එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අනුශාසනා කළ අස්ගිරි ලේඛකාධිකාරී හිමියන්, 

"අපේ සෙල්ලිපිවල සඳහන් වෙනවා නොබෝසත්තු - එනම් බෝසත් නොවන මිනිස්සු මේ රටේ රාජ්‍යයට පත් නොවිය යුතුයි කියලා. මේ රට පාලනය කළ යුත්තේ බෝසත් සිතුම් පැතුම් ඇති අයයි. ඒ උතුම් චීවරය ආරක්ෂා කරන්නට තමයි රජකම ලැබෙන්නේ. එහෙත් වර්තමානය වන විට අපට අහන්න, දකින්න ලැබෙන විවිධ සිදුවීම් හේතුවෙන් මහත් සංවේගයක් හටගන්නවා," යනුවෙන් ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටියහ.

Asgiriya Sect's Chief Monk Advocates for Governance by Enlightened Individuals

In a significant statement, Dr. Medagama Dhammananda Thera, the chief monk of the Asgiriya Chapter, emphasized that individuals lacking the qualities of a Bodhisattva should not hold positions of power in Sri Lanka. This perspective is strongly echoed in ancient inscriptions across the country.

The monk pointed out that rulers are entrusted with governance primarily to safeguard the Buddha Sasana and the dignity of the sacred robe. He expressed profound concern regarding recent events unfolding within the nation, highlighting that they invoke strong emotional reactions among the populace.

Speaking at a religious program, he articulated his perspective on the crucial role of enlightened leadership in governance.

Further elaborating on the necessity for wise leadership, he remarked, "Our ancient texts indicate that those who are not enlightened should not be part of the governance of this land. It is essential that the country be managed by individuals with Bodhisattva aspirations. Governance is bestowed to protect the sacred robe. However, the alarming events we observe today evoke significant emotional turmoil."
