හෝමාගම පොලිසියේදී මියගිය පුද්ගලයා කලින් දවසේ රිය අනතුරකට ලක්වෙලා රෝහලෙන් පැන ගිය අයෙක්..- පොලිසිය

 

හෝමාගම මූලස්ථාන පොලිසිය මඟින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන රෝහල්ගත කිරීමෙන් පසු සැකකරුවකු මියයාමේ ආන්දෝලනාත්මක සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් 09 දෙනෙකු සහ සිවිල් වැසියන් 08 දෙනෙකු ඇතුළු පුද්ගලයන් 17 දෙනෙකුගෙන් මේ වන විට ප්‍රකාශ සටහන් කරගෙන ඇතැයි පොලිස් මාධ්‍ය කොට්ඨාසය නිවේදනය කරයි.

පොලිස්පතිවරයාගේ සෘජු නියෝගය පරිදි බස්නාහිර පළාත දකුණ දිසා අපරාධ කොට්ඨාසය මඟින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන මෙම පුළුල් විමර්ශනයට අදාළව, සිද්ධියට මුල් වූ සියලු පාර්ශ්වයන්ගෙන් සාක්ෂි සටහන් කරගැනීමේ විශේෂ මෙහෙයුමක් ආරම්භ කර තිබේ.

මියගිය පුද්ගලයා සමඟ පසුගිය ඔක්තෝබර් 24 වැනිදා රාත්‍රියේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගනු ලැබ, මේ වන විට බන්ධනාගාරගතව පසුවන අනෙක් සැකකරුගෙන් අධිකරණ නියෝග මත බන්ධනාගාරය තුළදීම පසුගිය 29 වැනිදා දීර්ඝ ප්‍රකාශයක් සටහන් කරගෙන ඇත.

සැකකරුගේ මරණයට අදාළව පසුගිය ඔක්තෝබර් 28 වැනිදා අත්අඩංගුවට ගැණුනු හෝමාගම පොලිසියේ අපරාධ අංශයේ හිටපු ස්ථානාධිපතිවරයා (හිටපු උප පොලිස් පරීක්ෂක) පසුදා (29) හෝමාගම මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව, හඳුනාගැනීමේ පෙරෙට්ටුවක් සඳහා ලබන නොවැම්බර් මස 12 වැනිදා දක්වා රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කෙරිණි.

මියගිය සැකකරු ඔක්තෝබර් 24 වැනිදා දහවල් රිය අනතුරකට ලක්ව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබාගැනීම සඳහා හෝමාගම රෝහලට (ඇඳ හිසපත් අංක 65644/2026 යටතේ) පස්වරු 01.05ට ඇතුළත්ව ඇති අතර, එදිනම පස්වරු 05.55ට කිසිදු අවසරයකින් තොරව රෝහලෙන් රහසේ පලාගොස් ඇති බවට විමර්ශනවලදී තහවුරු වී තිබේ. 

අනතුරුව ඔක්තෝබර් 25 වැනිදා පොලිසිය මඟින් මොහු යළි අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන රෝහල්ගත කිරීමෙන් පසු මියගොස් ඇති අතර, මෙම සම්පූර්ණ කාලරාමුව හා වෛද්‍ය වාර්තා පිළිබඳව විමර්ශන නිලධාරීන් විසින් අධිකරණය වෙත කරුණු වාර්තා කර ඇත.

Investigation Launched Following Suspicious Death of Arrested Suspect in Homagama

Following the shocking death of a suspect who was arrested and hospitalized, authorities in Homagama have recorded statements from 17 individuals, including nine police officers and eight civilians. This incident has triggered a comprehensive investigation led by the Southern Province Criminal Division, under the direct orders of the Inspector General of Police.

The investigations aim to gather evidence from all parties involved, as a special operation is being conducted to document the events leading up to the suspect's demise. The deceased suspect was taken into custody on the night of October 24, after which his companion, now imprisoned, provided an extended statement to the police on October 29, following a court order.

Key to the investigation is the former head of the crime division at the Homagama police, who was also arrested on October 28 and is now being held in remand custody until November 12, pending identification procedures in court.

On the day of the incident, the deceased suspect was admitted to Homagama Hospital for treatment following a vehicle accident, recorded under patient file number 65644/2026, at around 1:05 PM. However, he mysteriously fled the hospital without authorization at 5:55 PM the same day, as confirmed by investigations.

The suspect was subsequently apprehended again on October 25 and was hospitalized once more, where he ultimately passed away. Investigators have reported the full timeline and medical records to the court for further inquiry.
