Despite the absence of prospects for Namal Rajapaksa to assume the presidency, Venerable Thithtagalle Anandasiri emphasizes that the former minister is embracing a path towards spiritual liberation. During a conversation on a social media channel, he unveiled insights into Rajapaksa’s current routine while in custody.

Elaborating on the daily practices of the imprisoned minister, the Venerable Anandasiri disclosed that Namal rises each morning around 4:30 AM, dedicating three hours to meditation before engaging in physical exercises.

He highlighted a notable transformation in Rajapaksa, asserting that the individual seen today is fundamentally different from the politician of the past, now on a spiritual journey akin to that of the historical figure Angulimala, who achieved enlightenment despite his past wrongdoings.

Utilizing his two decades of astrological experience, Anandasiri shared that he had predicted Rajapaksa's incarceration well before it occurred, having previously examined his astrological charts.

The Venerable monk views Rajapaksa's imprisonment as a consequence of severe karmic actions he committed in the past, suggesting that this situation is a manifestation of his previous misdeeds.

Additionally, Anandasiri noted that family members are actively seeking to communicate messages to Rajapaksa during parliamentary sessions. In light of the current circumstances, he firmly believes that the only avenue for Namal Rajapaksa’s assistance lies in the practice of meditation, underscoring the importance of spiritual pursuits in facing his present challenges.
