හිටපු ඇමති කෙහෙලිය රඹුක්වැල්ල මහතාගේ පුත් හිටපු ක්රිකට් ක්රීඩක රමිත් රඹුක්වැල්ල මහතාට අයත් බව කියන මෙරට සහ විදේශීය මුදල් මෙන්ම නිවසේ තිබූ ගෘහ උපකරණ ඇතුළු දේපළ රැසක් සොරාගෙන ඇති බවට නාරාහේන්පිට පොලිස් ස්ථානය වෙත පැමිණිල්ලක් ලැබී ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.
අදාළ පැමිණිල්ලට අනුව, කොළඹ නාරාහේන්පිට පිහිටි නිවාස සංකීර්ණයක පිහිටි නිවසකින් ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් 4,275ක්, රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 14ක මුදලක් සහ නිවසේ තිබූ විවිධ ගෘහ උපකරණ මෙලෙස සොරාගෙන ගොස් ඇත. මෙම සොරකම පසුගිය අගෝස්තු මස 08 වැනිදාත් සැප්තැම්බර් මස 30 වැනිදාත් අතර කාලසීමාව තුළ සිදුව ඇති බවට පැමිණිල්ලේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කර තිබේ.
කෙසේ වෙතත්, රමිත් රඹුක්වැල්ල මහතාගේ පැමිණිල්ල මත සිදුකළ මූලික විමර්ශනවලදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත්තේ අදාළ නිවස ඔහුගේ බිරිඳගේ පියාට අයත් එකක් බවයි.
එමෙන්ම ඔහුගේ උපදෙස් පරිදි රමිත් රඹුක්වැල්ල මහතාට අයත් භාණ්ඩ හා දේපළ නුගේගොඩ ප්රදේශයේ පිහිටි ගබඩා සංකීර්ණයකට යොමු කර ඇති බව ද පොලිස් පරීක්ෂණවලදී හෙළිව ඇතැයි පොලිසිය පවසයි.
විදේශගතව සිටින රමිත් රඹුක්වැල්ල මහතාගේ බිරිඳගේ පියා ද මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් විද්යුත් තැපෑල ඔස්සේ පොලිසිය වෙත පැමිණිල්ලක් යොමු කර තිබේ.
සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අධිකරණයට කරුණු වාර්තා කිරීමට නියමිත අතර වැඩිදුර පරීක්ෂණ මෙහෙයවයි.
Robbery Reported at Former Minister's Residence, Valuable Items Stolen
In a shocking incident, officers at the Narahenpita Police Station have received a complaint regarding a burglary involving numerous valuable items, including cash in both local and foreign currencies, from the residence of former Minister Kehiliya Rambukwella’s son, former cricketer Ramith Rambukwella.
The complaint states that the theft occurred between August 8 and September 30 at a house located in a residential complex in Colombo, where culprits made away with 4,275 US dollars and approximately 1.4 million rupees worth of various household goods.
Initial investigations prompted by Ramith Rambukwella’s report revealed that the house in question is actually owned by his wife's father. Furthermore, police have identified that items belonging to Ramith Rambukwella were redirected to a storage facility located in the Nugegoda area under the instructions of this relative.
Also noteworthy is that the father of his wife, currently residing overseas, has lodged a complaint with the police via email regarding this incident.
The authorities are expected to present findings to the court, with further investigations underway to unravel the details surrounding this troubling occurrence.
