Russia Launches Massive Assault on Key Ukrainian Military and Infrastructure Targets
The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced a large-scale coordinated assault targeting military and industrial hubs in and around the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, along with vital energy and transport infrastructure.
A statement from Russia indicates that the strikes specifically targeted the Northern Bridge located in Kyiv, which has served as a crucial supply route for delivering weapons, military equipment, and armored vehicles to Ukrainian forces. Additionally, facilities allegedly involved in the production of cruise missiles were also hit during this barrage.
The Ministry confirmed substantial damage to several energy and industrial centers, including a primary power plant, an electrical substation, and a facility dedicated to the production of military equipment located in the Kyiv region.
Further reports reveal that Russian forces have also targeted another power plant in the Zhytomyr region. Furthermore, Russian naval forces successfully struck a cargo vessel in the Black Sea, which was reportedly transporting supplies that could be used to meet Ukraine’s military needs.
