Tragic Collision on Colombo-Nuwara Main Road Claims Three Lives
A devastating road accident occurred in the Mahena area of Warakapola when a bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board collided with a van, resulting in the tragic deaths of three individuals and leaving another four with serious injuries, according to local police reports.
The impact of the collision caused significant damage to both vehicles. Preliminary investigations indicate that three passengers in the van lost their lives at the scene of the accident.
The four injured individuals, all local residents, were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Sources from the hospital have reported that several of the injured are in critical condition.
Authorities are currently working to confirm the identities of the deceased as part of ongoing investigations into the incident.
