Missile Strikes Hit Strategic Qeshm Island in Southern Iran
Two missile strikes have reportedly targeted Qeshm Island, a strategic territory in southern Iran, according to local news agency Tasnim.
As of now, official details regarding casualties or property damage have not been disclosed. Tasnim has indicated that the relevant security forces will provide further information once they have confirmed the details of the incidents.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that residents in the vicinity heard the sound of an aircraft overhead shortly before two projectiles landed in the Suza area of the island.
This sudden military action has raised concerns as reports suggest that discussions between the United States and Iran aimed at resolving ongoing conflicts have stalled without reaching an agreement. In response, a spokesperson for Qatar's international media office categorically denied these claims.
Qatar reaffirmed that these reports were entirely false and misleading, emphasizing that both parties are actively working towards mutual agreement, a point reiterated by the Qatari Prime Minister.
The announcement further clarified that Qatar’s diplomatic initiatives for establishing a ceasefire or peace agreement between Washington and Tehran are ongoing, reflecting close cooperation between both sides.
