මාධ්‍යවේදීන් නැඟූ ප්‍රශ්නයකට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් කාදිනල් හිමිපාණන් සඳහන් කළේ, අදාළ නීති කණ්ඩායමේ පූර්ණ විමර්ශන හා අධ්‍යයන කටයුතු අවසන් වන තෙක් එම පනත් කෙටුම්පත පිළිබඳව කිසිදු ප්‍රකාශයක් හෝ ස්ථාවරයක් ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමට අදහස් නොකරන බවය.
Cardinal Ranjith Comments on New Anti-Terrorism Legislation Under Review
The Catholic Church's legal team is currently examining the proposed new anti-terrorism legislation, which the government plans to present to Parliament to replace the existing Prevention of Terrorism Act. This revelation came from Colombo's Archbishop, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
In response to questions from journalists, Cardinal Ranjith emphasized that no statements or positions regarding the draft bill would be made public until the legal team completes its thorough investigation and analysis of the proposed legislation.
