 පාසල්, රෝහල්, පාලම් සහ මහාමාර්ග ඇතුළු රටේ සංවර්ධන කටයුතු සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ප්‍රතිපාදන මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශය සතුව ඕනෑතරම් පවතින බව ප්‍රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග, වරාය සහ සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා අමාත්‍ය බිමල් රත්නායක මහතා පවසයි.

වැඩසටහනකට සහභාගී වීමෙන් අනතුරුව මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා අවධාරණය කළේ, "ඇත්ත කතාව කිව්වොත් මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ටොන් ගණන් සල්ලි තියෙනවා. ඉස්කෝල, පාලම් හදන්න අවශ්‍ය ප්‍රතිපාදන තියෙනවා," යනුවෙනි.

රජයේ ඉදිරි සැලසුම් පිළිබඳව අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා, 2025 වසර ආර්ථිකය, නීතිය සහ සමාජය ස්ථාවර කරන වසරක් ලෙසත්, 2026 සිට 2028 දක්වා කාලය සෑම ක්ෂේත්‍රයකම පූර්ණ සංවර්ධනයක් ඇති කරන වසර ලෙසත් හඳුන්වා දුන්නේය. 2029 වසර වන විට රටේ පූර්ණ පරිවර්තනයක් සිදු කිරීම රජයේ ඉලක්කය බවද ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

ප්‍රවාහන ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ පවතින ගැටලු පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, වසර ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ නොසලකා හැර තිබූ මෙම ක්ෂේත්‍රය සුරක්ෂිත සහ සුවපහසු මට්ටමකට ගෙන ඒමට තවත් වසර 4ක් හෝ 5ක් ගතවනු ඇති බවයි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, මේ වන විටත් මෙට්‍රෝ බස් සේවාව ආරම්භ කර ඇති අතර, ලංගම සඳහා තවත් බස් රථ 800ක් ඉදිරි වසර තුළ ලබා ගැනීමට කටයුතු කරන බවද ඔහු පැවසීය.

දුම්රිය මාර්ග පද්ධතියේ පවතින අඩුපාඩු මඟහරවා ගනිමින් රඹුක්කන, පේරාදෙණිය සහ නාවලපිටිය දක්වා වූ කොටස්වල සංවර්ධන කටයුතු කඩිනම් කරන බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී සඳහන් කළේය.

මුදල් පැවතියද, පසුගිය පාලන සමයන්හිදී රාජ්‍ය අංශය දුර්වල කර තිබීම සහ තාක්ෂණික නිලධාරීන්ගේ හිඟය වත්මන් රජය මුහුණ දෙන ප්‍රධාන අභියෝගයක් බව පෙන්වා දුන් බිමල් රත්නායක මහතා, කසළ කළමනාකරණය, පානීය ජලය සැපයීම සහ හරිත බලශක්තිය වෙනුවෙන් ඉදිරි වසරේදී වැඩිම මුදලක් වෙන් කරන බවද ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

විශේෂයෙන්ම අරුවක්කාලු සහ කරදියන වැනි කසළවලින් බලශක්තිය නිපදවීමේ ව්‍යාපෘති කඩිනමින් අවසන් කිරීමට රජය පියවර ගන්නා බවද ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

Minister Bimal Ratnayake Assures Sufficient Funding for National Development Projects

Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, Bimal Ratnayake, has confidently stated that the Ministry has ample financial resources to support critical development projects across the country, including schools, hospitals, bridges, and highways.

Addressing the media after participating in a scheduled program, he emphasized the ministry's financial capacity, asserting, "The truth is, there are tons of money available in the Ministry. We have the necessary provisions to construct schools and bridges."

Further elaborating on the government's plans, Ratnayake described the year 2025 as a pivotal year for stabilizing the economy, law, and social dynamics. He outlined a vision of complete development across all sectors between 2026 and 2028, with an ambitious goal for a total transformation of the country by 2029.

On addressing long-standing issues in the transportation sector, he noted that it would require another four to five years to elevate this neglected area to safe and comfortable standards.

Despite these challenges, he reported the successful initiation of the metro bus service and revealed plans to procure an additional 800 buses over the next year.

He also indicated that the government is expediting development activities in critical railway sectors, such as Rambukkana, Peradeniya, and Navala, to overcome existing shortcomings in the railway network.

Ratnayake highlighted that while funding exists, previous administrations had weakened the public sector and created a shortage of technical officials. This remains one of the primary challenges facing the current government. He announced significant financial allocations for waste management, potable water supply, and renewable energy initiatives in the coming years.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the government is taking decisive action to rapidly complete projects aimed at generating energy from waste sources like Aruwakkalu and Karadiyana.
