වාද්දුව පොලිස් ස්ථානයේ සිර මැදිරියක රඳවා සිටි සැකකරුවෙකු බලහත්කාරයෙන් මුදාගැනීමට උත්සාහ කළ තරුණයන් දෙදෙනෙකු පොලිසිය විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ.
02 වැනිදා රාත්රියේ මෙම කලහකාරී සිදුවීම වාර්තා වී ඇත. සැකපිට අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන සිටි පුද්ගලයෙකු බැලීම සඳහා මෙම තරුණයන් දෙදෙනා පොලිස් ස්ථානයට පැමිණ ඇති අතර, එහිදී ඔවුන් සිර මැදිරියේ යකඩ දොරවල්වලට පහර දෙමින් එහි සිටි සැකකරු මුදාගැනීමට උත්සාහ කර ඇති බව විමර්ශනවලදී හෙළි වී තිබේ.
එම අවස්ථාවේදී රාජකාරියේ නිරතව සිටි පොලිස් සැරයන්වරයා සහ කොස්තාපල්වරයා ඔවුන්ව වැළැක්වීමට සහ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට උත්සාහ කර ඇත.
එහිදී සැකකාර තරුණයන් පොලිස් නිලධාරීන්ට අසභ්ය වචනයෙන් බැන තර්ජනය කරමින් ඔවුන්ට පහර දීමට ද උත්සාහ කර ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් පානදුර සහ වාද්දුව ප්රදේශවල පදිංචි වයස අවුරුදු 23 සහ 25 යන වියේ පසුවන තරුණයන් දෙදෙනෙකි.
පොලිස් නිලධාරීන්ට පහර දීම, බලහත්කාරය පෑම සහ රාජකාරියට බාධා කිරීම යන චෝදනා යටතේ ඔවුන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිමය ක්රියාමාර්ග ගැනීමට නියමිතය.
Two Youths Arrested for Attempting to Forcefully Release Suspect from Wadduwa Police Custody
The Wadduwa Police have arrested two youths who attempted to forcefully release a suspect detained in a cell at the Wadduwa Police Station. The incident was reported on the night of the 2nd.
According to reports, the youths had arrived at the police station to visit a suspect who was in custody. Investigations revealed that they subsequently attempted to free the suspect by striking the iron doors of the detention cell.
During the altercation, the youths also obstructed police duties by attempting to assault the Police Sergeant and Police Constable who were on duty.
Furthermore, it is reported that the youths hurled obscene language and issued threats at the police officers before the situation was brought under control by the police.
The arrested suspects, aged 23 and 25, are residents of Panadura and Wadduwa. Legal action is to be initiated against them on charges of assault, intimidation, and obstructing the duties of police officers.

ReplyDeleteTwo young men have been arrested for allegedly attempting to forcibly free a suspect who was being held in a detention cell at the Wadduwa Police Station. The incident was reported on the night of the 2nd.
According to information related to the incident, the two youths had come to the police station to visit a person who had been arrested on suspicion of an offense. During the visit, they allegedly struck the iron bars and doors of the detention cell in an attempt to release the suspect by force, police investigations have revealed.
During the incident, the youths also allegedly attempted to assault a police sergeant and a police constable who were on duty while trying to obstruct the officers from carrying out their responsibilities.
The suspects are also reported to have threatened police officers and used abusive language toward them during the confrontation.
The two arrested suspects, aged 23 and 25, are residents of the Panadura and Wadduwa areas. Authorities stated that legal action will be taken against them on charges including assault, use of criminal force, and obstructing police officers in the discharge of their official duties.
