සියලු විපක්ෂ දේශපාලන පක්ෂ ඒකාබද්ධ වන්නේ නම් නව රජයක් පිහිටුවීමට හැකියාව පවතින බවත්, විපක්ෂය මේ වන විට ශක්තිමත් මට්ටමක පවතින බවත් හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

ආගමික වතාවත් කිහිපයකට සහභාගී වීමෙන් අනතුරුව මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයා කියා සිටියේ, විපක්ෂයේ පක්ෂ අතර පවතින සහයෝගීතාව නව පාලනයක් ඇති කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය පසුබිම සකස් කරනු ඇති බවයි.

දැනට රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගතව සිටින විපක්ෂ දේශපාලනඥයන් පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් ඔහු කියා සිටියේ, ඇතැම් නායකයන් සිරගත කර සිටියද ඔවුන් නියෝජනය කරන දේශපාලන පක්ෂ සහ සෙසු සාමාජිකයන් සිය දේශපාලන කටයුතු අඛණ්ඩව කරගෙන යන බවයි.

තම දේශපාලන හිතවතුන්ට සහ පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන්ට එරෙහිව ක්‍රියාත්මක වන නීතිමය පියවර සම්බන්ධයෙන් නැගූ ප්‍රශ්නවලට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයා චෝදනා කළේ, මෙම නඩු දේශපාලන අරමුණු මත පදනම් වූ ඒවා බවයි. මේවා වත්මන් රජයේ දේශපාලන පළිගැනීම් බව ද ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

හිටපු අමාත්‍ය බැසිල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා මෙරටට පැමිණීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් කළ විමසීමකදී මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා කියා සිටියේ, ඔහුගේ පැමිණීමේ කාලසටහන පිළිබඳව තමන් දැනුවත් නොමැති බවත්, ඒ පිළිබඳව බැසිල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගෙන්ම විමසිය යුතු බවත්ය.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa Sees Potential for New Government Formation with Opposition Unity

Mahinda Rajapaksa, the former president of Sri Lanka, has expressed that the opposition parties have the capability to establish a new government if they unite. He emphasized the current strong position of the opposition during statements made after participating in several religious events.

Speaking to the media, Rajapaksa pointed out that the cooperation among opposition parties is laying the groundwork necessary for a new administration. His comments come amid ongoing discussions about the political landscape in the country.

When asked about the opposition politicians currently incarcerated, he remarked that although some leaders are imprisoned, their respective political parties and other members continue their political activities without interruption.

Addressing questions concerning legal actions taken against his political allies and family members, Rajapaksa accused the current government of engaging in what he termed political reprisals, asserting that these lawsuits are driven by political motives.

Regarding inquiries about the return of former minister Basil Rajapaksa to the country, Rajapaksa stated that he was not informed about the timeline of his arrival and suggested that questions regarding Basil's schedule should be directed to him directly.
