 ගොවිජන සේවා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ විශ්‍රාමික නිලධාරීන්ගේ සේවය තවදුරටත් ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා ඔවුන්ගේ සේවා කාලය වයස අවුරුදු 70 දක්වා දීර්ඝ කිරීමට රජය තීරණය කර ඇති බව නිවාස, ඉදිකිරීම් සහ සංස්කෘතික කටයුතු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය ටී.බී. සරත් මහතා පවසයි.

ගුරුවරුන්ගේ සේවා කාලය දීර්ඝ කිරීමට ගෙන ඇති පියවරට සමානව මෙම තීරණය ගෙන ඇති බවත්, ඒ හරහා ගොවි ජනතාවට වඩාත් කාර්යක්ෂම සේවාවක් සැපයීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා සඳහන් කළේය.

වත්මන් රජය ගොවි ජනතාවට ලබා දුන් පොරොන්දු ඉටු කරමින් පවතින බවත්, ඒ පිළිබඳව විමසිලිමත් වන ලෙසත් අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී ඉල්ලා සිටියේය.

පවතින ගැටලු විසඳීම සඳහා තමන්ට තවත් වසර 4ක් හෝ 5ක් වැනි කාලයක් අවශ්‍ය බවත්, එම කාලය තුළ සියලු ප්‍රශ්නවලට ස්ථිර විසඳුම් ලබා දෙන බවත් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.

ජනතාවගේ ආර්ථික මට්ටම නංවාලීමට අමතරව ඔවුන්ගේ විනෝදය සහ මානසික සතුට පිළිබඳව ද රජය අවධානය යොමු කරන බව නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී පැවසීය.

පසුගියදා ඇලහැර ප්‍රදේශයේ පැවති කොහොඹා කංකාරිය වැනි සංස්කෘතික උත්සව සඳහා තමන් සහභාගී වූයේ ද ජනතාවගේ එම සතුට සහ සංස්කෘතික උරුමයන් සුරැකීමේ අරමුණින් බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

උද්ඝෝෂණ සහ විරෝධතා පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, ඕනෑම අයෙකුට සිය මතය ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමට අයිතියක් ඇති නමුත් රජය සිය සංවර්ධන ඉලක්ක කරා අඛණ්ඩව ගමන් කරන බවයි.

Govt Extends Service Age for Retired Agricultural Officers to 70

The government has decided to extend the service age of retired officers in the Department of Agriculture to 70 years, aimed at ensuring continued assistance to farmers, according to the Deputy Minister of Housing, Construction, and Cultural Affairs, T.B. Sarath.

This decision mirrors similar measures taken to prolong the service duration for teachers, with the expectation that it will enable the provision of more efficient services to the agricultural community.

He emphasized that the current government remains committed to fulfilling its promises to farmers and called for vigilance in this regard.

Notably, he highlighted the need for an additional four to five years to address ongoing issues, assuring that during this period, comprehensive solutions will be provided.

Moreover, the Deputy Minister stated that the government is also focusing on enhancing the economic level of the people, as well as their well-being and mental happiness.

Recently, he participated in cultural festivities such as the Kohomba Kankariya in the Ella area, reaffirming his commitment to preserving the joy and cultural heritage of the community.

While discussing protests and opinions, he remarked that everyone has the right to express their views, yet the government will unwaveringly pursue its development goals.
