එසේම, මෙම මහා පරිමාණ මූල්‍ය වංචාවට අදාළව සිදු කෙරෙන විමර්ශනවල ප්‍රගතිය කඩිනමින් අධිකරණයට වාර්තා කරන ලෙස ද මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයා මෙහිදී පොලිසියට නියම කළේය.

Key Bank Executives Remanded in Connection with Illegal Dollar Transfer

In a significant development, four senior executives from major banks have been remanded until the 20th of this month following their arrest for involvement in the illegal transfer of one billion US dollars out of the country. The order was issued by Colombo's Additional Magistrate, Lian Harshavithana.

The suspects were taken into custody as part of an investigation conducted by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division. They were subsequently presented to court where the legal proceedings commenced.

After considering the arguments presented by Senior State Counsel Oswald Pereira, who appeared before the court alongside officials from the Financial Crimes Investigation Division, the magistrate issued the remand order.

Furthermore, the magistrate directed the police to provide timely updates to the court regarding the progress of the investigations into this substantial financial fraud.
