ක‍්‍රිකට් ගොඩගන්න අලුත් පනතකට කැබිනට් අනුමැතිය...

 ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආයතනය ප්‍රතිසංවිධානය කිරීම සඳහා සකස් කරන ලද නව "ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් පනත් කෙටුම්පත" රජයේ ගැසට් පත්‍රයේ පළ කිරීමටත්, ඉන් අනතුරුව අනුමැතිය සඳහා පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමටත් අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල අනුමැතිය හිමිව තිබේ.

තරුණ කටයුතු සහ ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍යවරයා විසින් අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද යෝජනාවකට අනුව මෙම අනුමැතිය හිමිව ඇත.

මෙරට ක්‍රිකට් ක්‍රීඩාවේ පාලනාකරණය, පාලනය, නියාමනය, ප්‍රවර්ධනය, සංවර්ධනය සහ පරිපාලනය විධිමත් කිරීම සඳහා 'ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට්' නීත්‍යනුකූලව සංස්ථාපනය කිරීම, එහි බලතල සහ කර්තව්‍යයන් සඳහා ව්‍යවස්ථාපිත විධිවිධාන සැලසීමේ අරමුණින් මෙම නව පනත සකස් කර ඇත.

විශේෂයෙන්ම යහපාලනය, සුපිළිපන්නභාවය , විනිවිදභාවය, වගවීම, ඇතුළත්භාවය සහ සමාන අවස්ථා සැලසීම යන මූලධර්ම පෙරදැරි කරගනිමින් ක්‍රිකට් ක්‍රීඩාවේ උන්නතිය සැලසීමත්, ක්‍රීඩාවට සම්බන්ධ සියලු පාර්ශ්වයන්ගේ සුබසාධනය තහවුරු කිරීමත් මෙමගින් අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.

මීට අමතරව, දූෂණයෙන් සහ විවිධ අනිසි ක්‍රියාකාරකම්වලින් ක්‍රිකට් ක්‍රීඩාව ආරක්ෂා කර ගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය නීතිමය රාමුව සකස් කිරීම ද මෙම නව පනත් කෙටුම්පතේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණක් බව සඳහන් වේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රිකට් ආයතනය ප්‍රතිසංවිධානය කිරීම සඳහා නව පනත් කෙටුම්පතක් සකස් කිරීමට 2026 ජූනි මස 08 වන දින පැවති අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල රැස්වීමේදී මූලික අනුමැතිය හිමිව තිබූ අතර, ඒ අනුව නීති කෙටුම්පත් සම්පාදක විසින් සකස් කරන ලද මෙම පනත් කෙටුම්පත සඳහා නීතිපතිවරයාගේ නිෂ්කාශනය ද මේ වන විට ලැබී ඇත.

New Bill for Restructuring Sri Lanka Cricket Gets Cabinet Approval

The Sri Lanka Cricket Act Draft, aimed at restructuring the national cricket body, has received the green light from the Cabinet and will soon be published in the government gazette. Following this, the bill will be presented to Parliament for approval.

This development follows a proposal submitted to the Cabinet by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The new legislation is designed to provide a legal framework for the establishment of 'Sri Lanka Cricket', ensuring better governance, management, regulation, promotion, and administration of the sport within the country.

With a focus on principles such as good governance, accountability, transparency, inclusivity, and equal opportunities, the Act aims to enhance the quality of cricket and assure the welfare of all stakeholders involved in the sport.

Additionally, a key objective of the proposed legislation is to establish a legal framework that safeguards cricket from corruption and other inappropriate activities.

The initial approval for the bill to restructure the Sri Lanka Cricket body was granted during a Cabinet meeting on June 8, 2026. The Attorney General's opinion on the draft, prepared by legal drafters, has also been obtained.
