අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව කියා සිටියේ අදාළ සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සිදුකළ විමර්ශන වාර්තාව සභාවට ඉදිරිපත් කරමිනි.

Minister Clarifies Misleading Video Claims About LTTE Training Camp

The Minister of Public Security, Tiran Alles, has firmly stated that recent social media videos alleging the existence of an LTTE training camp and bomb manufacturing facility within the Palai Reserve are entirely false and misleading to the public. He made this clarification during a session in Parliament, emphasizing the need for accurate information on the matter.

Presenting the findings from an investigation into the issue, the minister elaborated that the location depicted in the controversial video is not an LTTE camp but rather a farm operated under the name 'Nature Farm'.

Situated on a 10-acre plot in the western region of Kanagaram, the farm has reportedly expanded illegally to 21 acres, confirmed as government land belonging to the Palai Reserve, according to the investigation results.

Further revelations indicated that the campaign of misinformation is orchestrated by an individual named Sangeeth Jayasekera, who has posed as a doctor and executive director of an international human rights commission while using fraudulent identification documents.

Legal actions against him have already been initiated, with seven cases filed involving charges of illegal acquisition of government lands, timber smuggling, and obstruction of government duties. The minister reported that the suspect has been detained for 14 days under remand.

Minister Alles emphasized that the government will not tolerate attempts that sow discord among communities or incite violence, reiterating that such actions will be met with firm resistance.
