මාදම්පේ විවිධ සේවා සමුපකාර සමිතියේ පාලන බලය වයඹ පළාත් සමුපකාර කොමසාරිස්වරයා යටතට පත් කර තිබේ. 

ඒ, සමිතියේ සභාපතිවරයා ඇතුළු අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලයට එරෙහිව ඉදිරිපත් වූ විශ්වාසභංග යෝජනාවක් වැඩි ඡන්දයෙන් සම්මත වීමත් සමඟය.

පසුගිය මහා සභාවේදී මෙම විශ්වාසභංග යෝජනාව ඉදිරිපත් වූ අතර, එහිදී යෝජනාවට පක්ෂව ඡන්ද 43ක් සහ විපක්ෂව ඡන්ද 41ක් හිමි විය. 

කාරක සභිකයන් දෙදෙනෙකු එදින සභාව නියෝජනය කර නොතිබූ අතර, ඡන්ද දෙකක වැඩි බහුතරයකින් විශ්වාසභංගය ජයග්‍රහණය කිරීමට විරුද්ධ පාර්ශවය සමත් විය.

මෙම සමිතිය සඳහා කාරක සභිකයන් 86 දෙනෙකු තෝරා පත් කර ගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් පසුගිය මැයි 03 වැනිදා ප්‍රාදේශික 25කදී ඡන්ද විමසීමක් පවත්වන ලදී. එහිදී ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ ප්‍රමුඛ ඒකාබද්ධ කණ්ඩායම බහුතර බලය දිනාගත් අතර, එම කණ්ඩායම නියෝජනය කළ සුනිල් පාරිස් මහතා නව සභාපතිවරයා ලෙස තේරී පත් විය.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, විශ්වාසභංග යෝජනාව සම්මත වීමත් සමඟ නිලවරණයෙන් තේරී පත්ව සිටි සභාපතිවරයා ඇතුළු අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලය විසුරුවා හැරීමට වයඹ පළාත් සමුපකාර කොමසාරිස්වරයා පියවර ගෙන ඇත. 

ඒ අනුව සමිතියේ පරිපාලන කටයුතු යළිත් කොමසාරිස් පාලනය යටතට පත් කර තිබේ.

Management of Maadampe Cooperative Society Placed Under Regional Commissioner

The management authority of the Maadampe Cooperative Society has been transferred to the North Western Province Cooperative Commissioner. This shift comes in the wake of a no-confidence motion that received overwhelming approval against the society's board of directors, including its chairman.

The no-confidence motion was presented during the recent general meeting, where it garnered 43 votes in favor and 41 votes against. Two committee members were absent during the voting, allowing the opposing faction to secure victory with a clear majority.

An election to appoint 86 representatives for the committee took place on May 3rd, during which the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna emerged victorious as the leading coalition. The party’s nominee, Sunil Paris, was elected as the new chairman.

However, following the approval of the no-confidence motion, the North Western Province Cooperative Commissioner has taken steps to dissolve the board of directors, including the recently elected chairman. Consequently, the administrative functions of the society have been placed back under the commissioner’s oversight.
