නිවැරදි ක්‍රමයට මට ජනපති සමාව දෙන්න ජනපති අනුරට පුළුවන්... මා වෙනුවෙන් ජනපති සමාව මට ඉල්ලන්න..- ඥාණසාර හිමි

 හිටපු ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා විසින් තමන් වෙත ලබා දුන් ජනාධිපති සමාව ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමේදී නිලධාරීන් අතින් සිදුවූ පරිපාලනමය දෝෂ නිවැරදි කර, වත්මන් ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතාගෙන් තමන් වෙනුවෙන් යළිත් ජනාධිපති සමාව අයැද සිටින ලෙස බොදු බල සේනා සංවිධානයේ මහලේකම් පූජ්‍ය ගලගොඩඅත්තේ ඥානසාර හිමියෝ මහා සංඝරත්නයෙන් ඉල්ලීමක් කළහ.

උන්වහන්සේ විසින් රචිත '9.5 විකෘතිය' කෘතිය කොළඹ තුම්මුල්ල සම්බුද්ධත්ව ජයන්ති මන්දිරයේදී එළිදැක්වීමේ අවස්ථාවට එක්වෙමින් උන්වහන්සේ මේ බව ප්‍රකාශ කළහ.

උන්වහන්සේ ට හිමිව තිබූ ජනාධිපති සමාව බලරහිත කිරීමට අධිකරණය නියෝග කර තිබෙන පසුබිමක මෙම උත්සවය පැවැත්විණි.

එහිදී අදහස් දැක්වූ ඥානසාර හිමියන් සඳහන් කළේ, බුද්ධ නියමයට අනුවත් රටේ විනයට අනුවත් තමන් නීතියට හිස නමන බවයි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, අදාළ ජනාධිපති සමාව ලබා දීමේදී ක්‍රමවේදයේ වරදක් සිදුව ඇත්නම් එහි වගකීම නිලධාරීන් සතු වන බවත්, ඒ වෙනුවෙන් තමන්ගෙන් පළිගැනීම අසාධාරණ බවත් උන්වහන්සේ පෙන්වා දුන්හ.

"හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයාගෙන් හෝ නිලධාරීන්ගෙන් වරදක් වුණා නම්, වත්මන් ජනාධිපතිතුමාට පුළුවන් ඒ දේ නිවැරදි කරන්න. ඒ නිසා නිවැරදි ක්‍රමවේදයට අනුව මට ජනපති සමාව ලබා දෙන ලෙස ජනාධිපතිවරයාට පවසන්නැයි මා අපේ අනුනායක හාමුදුරුවන්ගෙන් වැඳ නමස්කාර පූර්වකව ඉල්ලා සිටිනවා" යැයි උන්වහන්සේ එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසූහ.

තමන් නැවත බන්ධනාගාරගත වීමට බිය නොවන නමුත්, මෙවැනි ක්‍රියාමාර්ග හේතුවෙන් ඉදිරියේදී රට සහ ශාසනය වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටින තරුණ භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා දැඩි අධෛර්යමත්භාවයකට පත්වනු ඇතැයි උන්වහන්සේ කනගාටුව පළ කළහ.

එමෙන්ම, වයස අවුරුදු 87ක් වන තම මව ඉදිරියේ තමන් වෙනුවෙන් "ජීව පාංශුකූලයක්" ලබා දෙන මට්ටමට පවා තමන්ට සිතෙන්නේ මේ වන විට පත්ව ඇති අවිනිශ්චිත තත්ත්වය නිසා බවද උන්වහන්සේ සංවේගයෙන් යුතුව ප්‍රකාශ කළහ.

කෝට්ටේ ශ්‍රී කල්‍යාණි සාමග්‍රී ධර්ම මහා සංඝ සභාවේ අනුනායක මහාචාර්ය පූජ්‍ය කොටපිටියේ රාහුල හිමි, අස්ගිරි පාර්ශ්වයේ මහා ලේඛකාධිකාරී පූජ්‍ය මැදගම ධම්මානන්ද හිමි ප්‍රමුඛ මහා සංඝරත්නය මෙන්ම දේශපාලනඥයන්, සිවිල් සංවිධාන නියෝජිතයන් ඇතුළු විශාල පිරිසක් මෙම අවස්ථාවට වැඩම කර සිටියහ.

Request for Presidential Pardon by Former President Sirisena's Advocates

A significant plea for presidential clemency was made by the Secretary of the Buddhist Power Organization, Venerable Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero, urging current President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to reconsider the earlier pardon granted to former President Maithripala Sirisena. This request was highlighted during the launch of the book '9.5 Distortion' at the Sambuddhatva Jayanthi Mandir in Colombo.

This event comes in the wake of a court directive that deemed President Sirisena's pardon inactive, raising concerns over administrative errors committed by officials during the reassessment process.

While addressing the audience, Gnanasara Thero underscored his respect for the law and national discipline, emphasizing that he does not disregard legal frameworks. However, he made it clear that if there were procedural errors in granting the presidential pardon, the responsibility lies with the officials rather than the former president.

“If mistakes were made by the former president or the officials, the current president has the authority to rectify them. Therefore, I humbly request that he grant me a presidential pardon following the correct procedures," he reiterated.

Gnanasara Thero expressed no fear of being imprisoned again but lamented that such actions could demoralize the younger monks who represent the future of the country and religion.

Additionally, with emotion, he highlighted the uncertainty surrounding his situation, stating that even his 87-year-old mother feels the need to provide him with "life sustenance" due to the precarious state he is in.

The event saw a significant turnout, including prominent members of the Maha Sangha like Venerable Kotapitiye Rahula Thero from the Kottawa Sri Kalyani Samadhi Dharma Maha Sangha and Venerable Medagama Dhammānanda Thero, along with numerous political Figures and representatives from civil organizations.
